Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn) novel Chapter 408

Anger burned in Kate’s eyes.

What a jerk. Before they slept together, he’d been so attentive—gentle, thoughtful, even though he knew she was in love with Shawn. He acted like he cared, like he was willing to wait. But the second he got what he wanted, it was like he couldn’t be bothered anymore.

Was all that tenderness just an act?

Kate stewed in silence, resentment simmering inside her as she waited. It was already one thirty by the time Wilson finally woke up.

“Wilson, you said you’d arrange a private jet for me. Can I leave today?” she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Wilson barely opened his eyes before rolling on top of her, pinning her down. “Babe, what’s the rush? Let me have a little fun first, then we’ll talk.”

Kate wanted to scream. Biting her tongue, she forced herself to give him what he wanted.

Ten minutes later, he rolled off her, looking completely satisfied.

He got what he wanted—but she was left sore and miserable, especially down there.

“Wilson…” Kate called out, her voice small and shaky.

He cut her off, already annoyed. “Yeah, yeah, fine. I’ll call and sort it out now.”

Kate shut her mouth, knowing it was pointless to push any further.

Wilson was just a spoiled rich kid. Flashy cars, pretty girls, maybe some jewelry or designer bags—sure. But a private jet for an international flight? That was way out of his league.

He’d only promised her the jet because he planned to ask a favor from a friend—someone whose family was way richer, and who just happened to have a private jet ready for a trip to Europe.

Arranging an international jet flight wasn’t simple; you had to file paperwork and get approval days in advance. But his friend’s plane was huge, and one more passenger wouldn’t be a big deal.

Kate packed her documents and let Wilson take her to a private club to meet Steve.

A waiter led them through a plush hallway to a private lounge.

Kate had gone all out—tight, sexy dress, flawless makeup. Part of it was to make Wilson look good, but mostly, she wanted to catch Steve’s eye. Men were easy that way, and Kate had never doubted her looks.

If she could get Steve interested, maybe she could still hold onto the good life.

But the second she walked into that lounge, her dreams crashed.

Her face went white, and she froze, rooted to the spot like she’d just seen a ghost.
