When the laughter faded, he fixed Felicity with a cold stare. "Felly, you always told me how hard your life was before sixteen, but you never once mentioned what happened to the little girl who grew up in your place, with your parents. When you returned to the Shepherd family, did you ever wonder where she went? Did she not deserve to live? Back then, in the hospital, you were both just babies who'd been switched—what crime did she commit? Does her life count for nothing to you?"

Felicity faltered, her hands trembling on the car door.

"And another thing!" Xander pressed on, voice rising. "All this time, you kept insisting Winona was trying to take Julian from you, but have you ever stopped to think—Julian isn't your husband. He never was."

"She never tried to steal your man. You're the one trying to steal hers!"
