Julian, Clayton, and the construction technician all watched Winona's departing figure, lost in thought.
"Looking at Miss Perkins now, I can't help but feel like she's an engineer herself. If it weren't for the fact that she only has a middle school education and was a housewife for six years, she really seems like one."
"Didn't you watch the livestream yesterday? Or see the replays today? She may have only finished middle school, but she's the top designer at Bunny Abode Interior Design! She's a designer!"
Interior design wasn't architecture, but there were some overlapping principles.
"Hey, do you think it's possible that Miss Perkins designed this retirement project, and then Miss Shepherd stole it? Otherwise, why are there always these little problems? You know, enough small problems can add up to a big one, and then the whole thing could just collapse. That would be a disaster."
"Don't talk nonsense! That's a huge accusation, how could that be possible? Miss Shepherd is a top architecture graduate; she has the credentials to prove it. Besides, interior decoration and architectural design are two completely different things. For interior design, if you have inspiration and talent, you can learn it by observing. But architecture? That requires incredibly precise calculations and specialized knowledge. It's definitely not the same!"
Listening from behind, both Julian and Clayton had a fleeting moment of doubt.
Clayton had seen the way Winona examined the soil; it wasn't just a casual glance.
And Julian remembered that Winona had asked him about the project two or three times. The first two times, she had burst into public places, extremely agitated, to question him. The last time, just two days ago in her hotel room, she had asked him calmly, but he had shut her down.
Still, the idea was unthinkable.
He knew for a fact that Winona had never attended high school or university.
So, the notion that the retirement project was Winona's design stolen by Felicity was pure baseless speculation.
It couldn't possibly be true.
Nevertheless, the fact that Winona had become a designer at Bunny Abode with only a middle school education was enough to make Julian see her in a new light.
He watched her retreating figure with a complex mix of emotions.
He was furious at her deception and her ruthlessness.
Yet, he couldn't help but admire her for that very same deception, ruthlessness, independence, and resilience.
