In the past, Skyler would have gotten the entrance code to Wonderhaven Estate without a second thought.
But things were different now.
Gordon had no intention of letting a third person disrupt the unspoken understanding between him and Phyllis.
After replying to Skyler, Gordon moved his mouse and reset the chessboard, preparing a new puzzle.
This time, it was a real challenge—the one he'd named Phantom.
Phantom was a puzzle Gordon had spent two painstaking weeks designing.
Other enthusiasts had tried their luck with his previous creation, Clockwork Labyrinth.
But Phantom? So far, no one but him had cracked it.
He was genuinely curious just how deep Phyllis's skills ran.
When Skyler saw Gordon's reply, he was dumbstruck.
His uncle was being way too stingy!
He couldn't believe Gordon wouldn't even share the entrance code to Wonderhaven Estate.
"Fine, whatever," Skyler huffed, folding his arms. "I bet I can find the entrance on my own!"
It wasn't about the code anymore—it was about pride.
He'd prove he could do it himself, and then Gordon would have to take him seriously.
With that thought, Skyler felt a surge of determination.

As Imperial Ascent skyrocketed in popularity, the Chandler Group's standing in the business world plummeted.
Veronica let out a sharp, dismissive laugh. "Refuse? Not a chance. My brother is her entire world. Now he's gone all the way there himself—she'll be so thrilled she'll probably faint. There's no way she'd turn down the chance to come back with him."
"Aunt Vida, you're giving that girl way too much credit."
Vida's worry evaporated at her niece's words.
Veronica was right!
Caitlin adored her precious Julian. Now that he was personally fetching her, how could she possibly refuse?
Veronica narrowed her eyes, a glint of malice flashing across her face. "Aunt Vida, when Caitlin comes back, don't give in so easily. Make her kneel and apologize. Teach her a lesson—put her in her place. Otherwise, she'll only get bolder. She needs to learn who really runs this family."
This time, Veronica was determined to make that country girl pay.
Vida nodded in agreement. "You're right, Veronica. She does need to be put in her place. I heard Julian messaged her and she still wouldn't come back unless he went to get her himself! If this keeps up, she'll think she can walk all over us. She's just a nobody from nowhere. Julian is willing to take her back—she should be counting her blessings, not acting high and mighty! Where does she even get the nerve?"
