Wyatt guided the pair into the office. As they stepped inside, a middle-aged man in a suit was deep in conversation with James. By the way he carried himself, it was clear he held a significant position, yet he showed a great deal of respect toward James.
"I'll make sure my team keeps an eye on things. We won't let anyone threaten Pine Valley," the man assured him.
James nodded slightly, his gaze lifting to the doorway. Upon spotting Mirabella, the sternness in his expression eased a bit.
Noticing the change, the middle-aged man wisely stood up. "I'll let you get back to it, James. I don't want to interrupt."
With that, he gave a polite nod and exited, casting a curious glance at Mirabella and Miles on his way out. He couldn't help but wonder about their story.
Once the man was gone, Wyatt took it upon himself to close the office door.
"Mr. Miles," James greeted warmly, not at all surprised to see him. After all, yesterday's course wasn’t part of the Davis family's territory.
"James," Miles replied with a casual wave, his blond hair slightly tousled, and his skin impeccably maintained. "You two carry on; don't mind me."
Wyatt’s expression shifted subtly as he glanced at James. Despite his concern over Trevor and the missing plane, he suggested, "Maybe I could take Mr. Miles for a stroll? Introduce him to Minister Green and his team."
During their journey here, Miles had subtly praised their national security department, and Wyatt, sharp as ever, caught the hint.
Forging a link with The Mirror would be something Minister Green would definitely appreciate.
James turned to Miles. "What do you think, Mr. Miles?"
Miles seemed quite enthusiastic about the idea and nodded, "Sure thing."
His passion was always about exploring new business opportunities.
Soon enough, Wyatt led Miles out of the office.
