Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 151

Whether Louis knew or not—it didn’t matter.

Aurora saw no reason to tell Daniel any of this.

“I just want some peace of mind,” she said quietly.

“Peace of mind?” Daniel repeated the words, his tone icy. “Is that for the sake of the child, or for Louis?”

“You married me because Louis broke up with you, didn’t you?”

He finally couldn’t hold the question back.

All the jealousy he’d buried deep inside finally surfaced.

He had always been her second choice.

“Daniel, we’re already at the point of divorce. What’s the point of digging all this up?” Aurora didn’t want to keep tangling herself up in this relationship.

All she wanted now was to get Payne the treatment he needed.

But Daniel wouldn’t let it go. He insisted, “Just answer me. Do you still have feelings for Louis?”

Aurora said nothing.

“I heard that the odds of a match are higher between siblings. Are you planning to have another child together?” Daniel’s voice trembled; it was hoarse and uneven.

In front of Aurora, he could never quite control his emotions.

Aurora pressed her nails into her palm. Her eyes shimmered with tears. Her lips parted, but in the end, she said nothing.

Some things just had to rot away in the dark corners of her heart.

Suddenly, Daniel was just…tired. Utterly hollowed out.

Everything he’d stubbornly held onto and chased after—it was all a joke from the very beginning.

“Let’s go file for divorce,” he said abruptly, his expression cold as stone.

Aurora stared at him, stunned, then slowly straightened in her seat. She could hardly believe it.

“You really mean it?”

That look of shock—Daniel saw it as relief. As if she’d finally gotten the answer she’d been waiting for.

His eyes narrowed with cold contempt, and his voice was as frigid as ice. “You’d better hope you never need anything from me again.”

“Otherwise, you’ll pay a price you can’t even imagine.”
