Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 245

Nora looked at Una.

Under the soft lights, her friend wore a smile, but it seemed so fragile, as if it might shatter at any moment.

“Come on, Una. Let’s go.” Nora gently took Una’s hand, ready to lead her out.

But Eleanor wouldn’t let them leave so easily. “Ms. Lawson, I think there are some parts that need revising. Could you take a look for me?” Her voice was sweet as honey, yet every word was laced with barbs.

Una stayed silent, afraid that if she spoke, everyone would hear the tremor in her voice and see right through her.

Nora replied to Eleanor in an icy, almost bored tone. “Are you deliberately trying to be difficult today?”

Eleanor bit her lip. “Ms. Lawson, you agreed to help just now.”

She held herself back, refusing to lose her temper. After all, in Daniel and Hans’ eyes, she was supposed to be the picture of grace.

Daniel walked over and took Nora by the wrist. “There’s one more wedding dress for you to try on.”

“Me? No, I’m not interested.” Nora pulled her hand back.

They’d agreed to keep their distance. Daniel had always kept things cold and formal, barely setting foot in North Manor for weeks now.

She’d thought he was finally letting go.

So why bring up wedding dresses again?

But Daniel insisted. “It’s one of Candice’s designs. Just try it on.”

He’d once planned a lavish wedding for Nora, ordering her dress months in advance. But they’d never even talked about it since. The dress had just sat here, forgotten, through all their endless arguments.

Now he wanted—just once—to see her in it. Even if they were to part for good, at least he’d have that memory.

Nora shook her head. “Daniel, there’s no point to this. Not anymore.”

She tried to leave, but Daniel wouldn’t let go of her hand.

Nora grew frustrated, about to protest, when she caught Una’s gaze lingering on Eleanor’s wedding gown. The disappointment in Una’s eyes was impossible to hide.
