Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 283

By the time Will reached the parking lot, he found Mr. Chambers—who famously never drove after drinking—locked in a desperate struggle with the chauffeur for the steering wheel.

The driver, sweating bullets, was clearly terrified of crossing his boss.

Mr. Chambers was drunk—seriously drunk—and it was obvious his anger had burned away any trace of reason.

No amount of courage would make the driver hand over the wheel.

“Will!” The driver called out, pleading for help.

Will took a steadying breath, then gently pulled Daniel away from the car.

“Mr. Chambers, if you need to go somewhere, just let Ben know. He’s a fast and careful driver.”

For a moment, a flicker of clarity returned to Daniel’s bloodshot eyes.

His trembling fingers gripped the door handle.

But where was he going?

He had no idea where Nora had gone.

“Mr. Chambers?” Will probed gently, guessing this had everything to do with Nora.

After all, Daniel only ever lost control over matters concerning Ms. Cooper.

Will was already reaching for his phone to start an investigation, but Daniel spoke first.

“Find out where she’s gone—with Louis.”

Will hurried to make the calls and helped Daniel into the car.

He instructed the driver, “Head to this address first.”

It was Louis’s place.

They’d been driving a while when Will’s phone rang. He picked up, listened, then turned to Daniel.

“They’re on the way to the highway—heading toward Millbrook.”

“Go to the highway entrance,” Daniel ordered.

The car tore down the street, its speed pressing the limits.

Louis’s car had barely been stopped at the highway entrance when a black Bentley pulled up behind.

From the back seat, Nora saw Daniel’s reflection in her mirror.

She took a steadying breath, collected herself, and stepped out of the car with calm composure.

Daniel was barely holding himself together. The moment he reached her, he gripped Nora’s wrist tightly.
