Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 302

She was absolutely determined to go to prison.

Nora sat outside for a long time before finally calling Hans.

“What did you do to Una?” she demanded.

What could Hans have possibly done to make Una so hopeless?

Hans sounded lazy and indifferent. “If I were you, I’d mind my own business.”

He couldn’t even get his own life in order and was busy interfering with others... Clearly, he had too much time on his hands.

Nora gripped her phone tightly. “Una isn’t just anyone.”

She hung up.

The next morning, after breakfast, Nora left Payne in Daisy’s care before heading out.

She went straight to the police station. This time, Una refused to see her.

She’d given the same answer as before: she wanted to plead guilty.

Nora asked one of the officers to pass along a message.

“Does she really want me to go find Daniel?”

Not long after, the officer came back and invited her in.

Una looked much better than she had during her previous, half-dead state.

The moment she saw Nora, she blurted out, “Aurora, you can’t go to Daniel.”

Nora had worked so hard to get away from Daniel—how could she go back so easily?

Sighing, Nora said softly, “Una, do you really expect me to just sit back and watch you go to prison?”

Una’s lashes trembled; tears rolled down her cheeks. “Aurora…”

She buried her face in her hands and sobbed as if her heart were breaking.

Tears welled in Nora’s eyes too.

She leaned in, voice gentle, comforting her friend. “Let’s go home.”

She went to arrange Una’s bail.

All that was left was a final signature.

Just then, a man with a briefcase strode in, his expression cold. “My client does not consent to bail.”

He was the lawyer Eleanor had hired.

“According to my client, Una has a psychiatric history. She attempted self-harm three years ago, and now she’s hurt someone else. Releasing her on bail would be too dangerous.”
