Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 303

She volunteered herself for the job.

Daniel said nothing, simply watching her in silence.

Nora felt a flicker of embarrassment.

If she thought about it, it had already been half a year since their divorce.

He was under no obligation to help her—it would be kindness if he did, and perfectly fair if he didn’t.

But between them, there was no kindness left to speak of.

Especially since Una had hurt Eleanor, the person Daniel cared about most.

“Go upstairs and change into something appropriate. I’ll wait in the car,” Daniel said, then walked out.

Nora let out a long sigh.

After picking out a suitable outfit and changing, she went downstairs in a hurry and joined him in the car.

Daniel glanced at her, then looked away.

On the drive, Nora didn’t mention Una at all.

When they arrived and got out, she took Daniel’s arm, playing the part of a proper companion.

They entered the venue together, arm in arm.

Nora could feel the curious stares. Plenty of men brought dates, but Daniel was the first to show up with his ex-wife.

There was no shortage of whispers and speculation.

She straightened her back and ignored them all.

Eleanor, radiant and affectionate, called out, her arm linked with Hans’s, “She’s looking for you, Daniel.”

She winked playfully. “See that girl over there? She’s your blind date tonight.”

A blind date?

Nora looked up at Daniel, releasing his arm.

“Sorry, I didn’t know you had a date tonight.”

After all, it had been half a year since their split—it was perfectly normal for Daniel to start dating. Still, hearing it out of the blue stirred up emotions she couldn’t quite name.

While she stood there, caught off guard, Daniel said, “Go mingle. I need to head over.”
