Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 332

“I know—your ex-wife.”

Nora’s lips parted, as if she might call out, but she stayed silent.

She simply stood there, cool and detached.

Daniel’s aunt was famous for her gentle smile, her warmth offered to everyone she met, but beneath that pleasant facade, her intentions were anything but pure.

It was all an act.

Now, Judy flashed Nora the same overly sweet smile.

Nora acted as if she didn’t see it at all.

Judy’s smile faded instantly.

Donna, having greeted everyone, turned to David. “Mr. Cooper, it’s been years since we last saw each other.”

David snorted. “What’s the point? These days, your family’s younger generation are calling all the shots. I have to wait for their approval before I can even speak.”

Donna only smiled. “Young people can be reckless. Look how they’ve managed to turn a small incident into such a mess.”

She didn’t consult anyone. Instead, she just made her decision right then and there.

“This was all just a misunderstanding. Dan, why don’t you do your aunt a favor and let Monica go?”

Nora slipped her hand from Daniel’s grasp.

She was the one directly involved—the mother of the victim. Yet Donna completely ignored her and asked Daniel to let Monica off the hook.

“I don’t agree.”

Nora stared at Donna, her expression blank. “Monica kidnapped my son. She should pay for that.”

Donna’s smile thinned. Her brow furrowed, and her tone lost all pretense of warmth.

“Nora, even though you and Dan are divorced, you’re still carrying the Chambers family’s heir. You’re still, in some sense, a daughter-in-law here. You should think of the family’s interests and not act on impulse.”

“I have no intention of being anyone’s daughter-in-law,” Nora shot back without hesitation.

She could feel Donna’s disdain in every word, so she saw no reason to be polite.

Donna’s face hardened after being challenged again and again.
