Chapter 6
I looked down at my arm.
There was suddenly an additional knife wound.
The bright red blood slowly slid down from the wound.
Jenny, with a fierce expression on her face, was waving a knife in her hand.
“You bad person, you wanted to kick us out, go die!”
She waved the knife at me as she spoke.
I pushed her down to the ground.
Jaqueline hurried over and helped Jenny up from the ground.
The angry voice shouted at me, “Jagger, are you crazy? How could you lay a hand on a child!”
“Jenny was still young, what did she understand!”
I disregarded the wounds on my hands and drove them out of the house one by one.
Jaqueline and Jaxson, for the sake of Jenny, didn’t have time to argue with me and went to the hospital with
the child.
I didn’t know how long had passed before I went to the hospital.
The doctor saw the wound that had already stopped bleeding and scolded me for not taking care of my body
at all, coming to the hospital so late after being injured for so long.
Walking out of the hospital, I bumped into Jaqueline, who was holding Jenny and Jaxson.
Jaqueline’s gaze fell on my bandaged wound, a hint of nervousness flashed across her face, as she was about
to ask.
At this moment, Jaxson suddenly spoke up and said, “Jaqueline, you should have a good talk with Jagger, I will go to your house the next day to pack up and move out.”
“I could take care of Jenny by myself. It shouldn’t have affected your normal life.”
He was about to turn around and leave.
Just as Jenny, who had been fast asleep, suddenly opened her eyes and cried out for her mother.
Jaqueline looked puzzled after hearing it, and then she looked at me apologetically and said, “Jagger, you go back first. I will go back tomorrow, and we can have a good talk.”

“I would not agree to a divorce, and now even a fake divorce is not necessary.”
After saying these words, she took Jenny from Jaxson’s hands and cooed softly.
When they left, Jaxson glanced back at me.
His eyes were full of provocation.
I returned home and looked at the house filled with memories.
The long–suppressed sourness gushed out.
This house was bought by me in my second year abroad.
Every item in the house was personally chosen by me.
At that time, I thought since it was a house to live in for a lifetime, it definitely had to be decorated according to my own preferences.
On the first day of officially moving in, Jaqueline excitedly hugged me.
She said she finally had a home of her own and said we would live here forever.
I never thought that now we would be going our separate ways.
When I passed by the study, I saw a puzzle covered in dust in the corner.
The pattern above is a photo of me and Jaqueline.
Originally, we had planned to finish it and hang it in the most prominent place in the living room.
But it was only half done.
Just because Jenny said she didn’t like it.
Jaqueline no longer posed for this group photo.
I took the puzzle photo to the yard.
Lit a fire and burned it to ashes.
My love for Jaqueline also turned into ashes bit by bit, along with the puzzle.
I spent a whole day packing my belongings into a suitcase.
The next day, when I was getting ready to clean the house, Jaqueline pushed open the door.
After she came in, she saw that half of the living room was empty and asked in a deep voice, “Why are there so many things missing in the house?”

I did not answer, but instead asked her when she would pack up her things.
Jaqueline’s face darkened when she heard the question.
