99 Houses for His Love One for My Freedom novel Chapter 22

Chapter 2

This so-called romance, felt like my dignity being pressed down on the ground and ruthlessly trampled

upon.

I wandered aimlessly, but suddenly realized that I had nowhere to go.

I don’t know how long I had been wandering, but when I came to my senses, I found myself near the hotel where the party was being held.

From a distance, I saw Triston as if he was looking for someone.

He scratched his head anxiously.

His hand also kept dialing numbers.

My phone had long been turned off and out of battery, so he must have been calling me.

I sighed softly.

I was shamed that there was a trace of anticipation lingering in my heart.

I lifted

my

foot and prepared to walk over.

The next second, a small figure darted out from the bushes.

Suddenly, I hugged Triston’s thigh and called out in a childish voice, “Daddy! Daddy!”

I stood still in the same place all of a sudden, unable to take a step with heavy footsteps.

Immediately after, a woman also appeared.

“Baby, running so fast, what if you bumped into Daddy?”

The child hid in Triston’s arms and proudly made a funny face at the woman.

Triston couldn’t help but laugh, “The child is still young, don’t scold him.”

Watching the picture of the three of them laughing and playing happily, I couldn’t help but feel so

unnecessary.

Since that’s the case, then I won’t disturb their happiness.

I turned around to leave, but accidentally stepped on a garbage bag, making a “crackling” sound.

Triston immediately turned around and set the child down, walking briskly towards me.

He had an anxious expression on his face, with a hint of unnoticed anger. “Why didn’t you answer the phone? I’ve been looking for you for a long time, I was almost going crazy.”

Going crazy in a hurry?

Just a second ago, I clearly saw him holding the child up high in his arms, laughing so happily.

I stared blankly past him, looking at that woman and child.

Expressionlessly, he uttered, “The phone just ran out of battery.”

Triston noticed my gaze and awkwardly explained, “Saniya, the child thing was really unexpected. I will

explain it to you later.”

“But you are the only one I love the most, you have to believe me.”

I looked at him expressionlessly, my heart filled with bitterness.

How can I believe him now, considering what has happened?

At this moment, the child behind suddenly burst into loud crying and tantrums.

Waving his little fists, he smashed towards my shins, while mumbling incoherently, “Bad woman, stealing

my dad.”

Although the child did not have much strength, he still managed to hurt me a bit.

Eliza Welch also approached, her eyes welling up with tears, sobbing and pleading, “Saniya, I really didn’t

mean to ruin your family.”

“You are an adult with a lot of experience, while children are not mature enough to understand. Don’t bother arguing with them.”

Triston pulled the child behind him and scolded angrily, “No hitting allowed!”

I watched this farce coldly, with mixed feelings in my heart.

I knew clearly that we could never go back again.

Triston touched my hand and considerately said, “Why is your hand so cold? Let me take you home first.”

Saying that, he was about to take me away with him.

Eliza, however, delicately took hold of his arm and coquettishly pleaded, “Triston, baby has finally had the

chance to see you, please spend some more time with him.”

The child also looked at him with anticipation on his face, making him reluctant to refuse.

He looked hesitant and guiltily hailed a taxi for me.

He still leaned into the car window and repeatedly reminded the driver, “Please drive more steadily.’

And then you closed the car door for me and reminded me to take a hot shower.

I returned home exhausted.
