99 Houses for His Love One for My Freedom novel Chapter 30

Chapter 10

Triston’s days passed in a haze.

He tried many times to go to the hospital for treatment, but the doctors shook their heads and sighed when

they saw his symptoms.

His health deteriorated further, with more and more bumps appearing on his face and body.

There was still a nauseating smell lingering.

He could not accept that he had become like this.

So, he hid in the house where we used to live together, numbing himself with those memories.

He started drinking heavily, trying to numb himself with alcohol.

But whenever he got drunk, the images in his mind became clearer and clearer.

He always remembered the figure of Saniya.

Her smile, her tears, and the resolute silhouette of her leaving.

These images haunted him like a nightmare, entangling him and preventing him from escaping.

Once, he ran out in a confused state after getting drunk.

He ran around on the street, attracting the attention of passersby who looked at him with disgust and

disdain.

He accidentally bumped into a passerby, and the passerby cursed loudly, “What’s wrong with you? You’re so dirty! Stay away from me!”

Triston stood still in confusion and helplessness. His eyes filled with bewilderment.

He could never have imagined that in just one year’s time, he would end up in such a situation.

Suddenly, a muffled thunder sounded in the sky.

Soon, a heavy rain shower started and Triston got soaked like a drowned rat.

He wandered aimlessly around the street, completely drenched, before returning home.

He arrived home and immediately developed a high fever. He lay alone in bed, breathing heavily and weakly.

There was no one around to take care of him.

He looked out of the window and saw lightning and heard thunder, feeling a fear and loneliness he had never experienced before.

He knew that all of this was his own doing.

He himself destroyed the possibility of his own happy life.

When the dawn’s first light streamed through the window onto his face, there was no trace of vitality left in

Triston’s eyes.

His hands hung weakly by the side of the bed, devoid of any vitality.

And so, he ended his pitiful life in endless loneliness and regret.

And Saniya, who was far away in a foreign country, knew nothing about it.

She continued her life, chasing her dreams.

Chapter 1

I was in a relationship with Cameron Kub for 7 years.

At the age of 25, I wanted to get married, but he said that his company had just started to take off and he wanted to prioritize his career.

At the age of 26, he asked me to wait a little longer.

At the age of 27, with my father’s days numbered, I didn’t want to wait any longer.

However, when I found him, I heard him talking to his friends, “The past few years, I have been postponing

the marriage, hoping that Tess Jane would understand and break up with me on her own. But I never expected that no matter how much I tried to drive her away, she just wouldn’t leave.”

His friends laughed heartily and said, “Cameron, you don’t want to marry Tess because you’re waiting for Ryleigh, right? I heard Ryleigh’s coming back from abroad soon.”

Cameron did not refute.

So, I quickly went on a blind date arranged by my best friend.

And then, I announced that I was going to get married.

Cameron came to me and loudly questioned, “Tess, are you crazy? When have I ever said that I am going to

marry you!”

But when he saw the groom in the wedding photo, he found it wasn’t himself.

He was dumbfounded.

“I am getting married!”

After editing the text, I uploaded a picture of a wedding ring and clicked on “publish”.

Within less than a minute of posting on Instagram, comments flooded in.

I didn’t care to look at the content of the comments, and just wearily put down my phone.

Remembering what Cameron said in the private room a month ago, I tightly closed my eyes and gently

touched my tingling chest.

After taking a deep breath, I continued to pack my luggage.

At this moment, I suddenly heard that the front gate was unlocked, and Cameron stormed in with a furious expression on his face.

The minute he saw me, he launched into a scolding before I could explain.

“Tess, are you shameless? When did I say I want to marry you? Why did you post such things on Instagram?”

“Do you

know how many people have come to ask me about that?”

He was furious, as he pointed at me, his outstretched finger was almost poked into my eyes.

“Do you think that by posting an Instagram update, I would be pressured by public opinion to marry you?

That will not happen.”

Upon hearing that, I felt all the strength in my body seemed to be drained away, and I collapsed onto the

sofa.

“You are not…”

As I tried to explain, he ruthlessly interrupted.

“Stop explaining, I’ve had enough of you. You’ve been pressuring me every day to get married. I’ve told you
