Chapter 7
In a strange place, sharing a bed with a man I wasn’t very familiar with, I thought I wouldn’t be able to fall
asleep.
Who knew that sleeping could be unexpectedly fast.
The next day, when I woke up, I groggily rubbed against the “pillow” in my arms.
“???”
The touch sensation was off!
Returning to reason, I quietly let go of my hand and glanced up, only to see a pair of clear and profound eyes with a hint of amusement looking at me.
My cheeks instantly turned red, and I quickly sat up.
“Sorry, sorry, I had a bad sleeping posture.”
Hezekiah raised his hand and rubbed my head. “It’s okay, no need to apologize. We are husband and wife.”

Hezekiah glanced at me and said, “Let’s go and see our wedding room.”

If I had not married Hezekiah, this week would have been much more difficult for me.
I dare not imagine how the rumors outside would have run wild.
Vincent, I will not wait for you anymore in the future.
However, this disappointment did not affect my mood, and I smiled as Hezekiah walked towards me.
I had someone to cherish now, and that was my life.
Hezekiah treated me well.
In my plan, he should neither reject nor like this marriage. There were no rumors about him having someone he liked, so I used this commitment.
But his kindness towards me gave me the illusion that he liked me.
So, I watched the man working in the study.
“Hezekiah.”
“Huh? What’s wrong?”
“Did you agree to marry me to fulfill your promise, or…”
