99 Houses for His Love One for My Freedom novel Chapter 49

Chapter 9

I turned around and saw Vincent, covered in dust, coming back.

I stared at Hezekiah tightly, holding my hand.

I didn’t speak, looking at the bloodshot eyes in his eyes and Yaritza standing behind him, buried in

Hezekiah’s arms, not wanting to look anymore.

Hezekiah looked at the two people in front of him, a hint of mockery crossing his eyes, “What I do, is none of

Mr. Stratakos’ business, right?”

Vincent approached and tried to grab my hand, attempting to pull me out.

But Hezekiah turned me around to avoid him and then let go of my hand.

Vincent’s hands were trembling, and he quickly stood in front of me, saying, “Reina, don’t be afraid, I’m

here.”

Vincent tried to calm down his tone.

“Reina, she was my fiancée. Mr. Hennen, holding my fiancée like this, shouldn’t you give me an

explanation?”

Looking at the man who protected me behind him, my heart was filled with mixed emotions.

Over the past year, whenever we had a disagreement because of Yaritza, he would always stand up for her

and say the same thing to me.

Reina, don’t make a fuss.

Reina, apologize quickly.

Reina, you should not have…

You have never stood firmly by my side.

Hezekiah squinted his eyes slightly, and his gaze became sharp.

“Mr. Stratakos, do you want to explain to me?”

“Shouldn’t you have explained first? Taking advantage of others to take care of your childhood sweetheart in various occasions, calling off the wedding on the eve, leaving your fiancée in a difficult situation, taking

your childhood sweetheart to Swobia, and now bringing her back for what?”

Vincent stiffened, turned his head towards me, and grabbed my hand.

“Reina, it wasn’t like that, there was a reason, I, I can explain.

Hezekiah interrupted, grabbing my hand. “Mr. Stratakos, please behave yourself and stop tugging at my

wife.”

Vincent opened his eyes wide and looked at him in disbelief.

“Your wife? Impossible. Reina is my fiancée. We were both preparing to get married.”

The voice suddenly became hoarse, looking at me with bloodshot eyes filled with anticipation, unmoving. The corners of the mouth were tightly pursed, waiting for my denial.

However, his expectations were not fulfilled.

I walked towards Hezekiah and stood beside him.

“I have already married him. I am indeed his wife.”

Vincent stood still for a moment without saying a word after hearing what I said, and then stumbled a bit before being supported by Yaritza.

The voice softly said, “Reina sister’s seamless connection was really fast.”

What a way to add fuel to the fire, I didn’t care at all, I couldn’t even be bothered to look at her.

As soon as Hezekiah gave a glance, Yaritza immediately shut her mouth.

Vincent pushed away her supporting hand and quickly realized, veins popping on his forehead.

“So, the wedding wasn’t canceled? It was just a change of person?”

“Reina! How dare you! Marrying someone else at our wedding!”

Watching the person in front of me trembling with anger.

I nodded, “I got married when you were accompanying Yaritza to Swobia.”

No contact for a week.

He would know whenever he contacted any friend.

If he had cared about my matters even a little, he wouldn’t have waited until today to find out.

But he didn’t, he was on the other side of the ocean, taking care of his childhood sweetheart, worrying about

her with all his heart.

Vincent felt a sharp pain in his heart, as if there was a hand scratching it and causing it to bleed profusely.

How could this happen?

He lost his phone after arriving in Swobia, and because of the urgency of the situation, he didn’t get a

replacement. He used a local phone instead. He wanted to call Reina, but he was constantly interrupted by

various things.

He thought that Reina would definitely be very angry.

So he had already made up his mind that once Yaritza’s foot was healed, he would come back and give Reina an even grander wedding. He knew he had wronged Reina this time, and he promised to treat her even better in the future. As for Yaritza, he would no longer care about her. He had done enough for her, and giving her some money would also be a way to repay her parents for their previous kindness towards him.

Reina liked herself so much that I couldn’t let her wait any longer.

However, things didn’t go

his way.

In a moment of impatience, I hurriedly returned, without considering the time difference.

It turned out that I passed out straight like this.
