Chapter 162

As we stepped into the penthouse, the silence wrapped around us like a blanket. The lights of Manhattan twinkled beyond the floor–to–ceiling windows, creating a backdrop that belonged in a movie, not my real life.
Alexander locked the door behind us with a definitive click that sent a shiver down my spine.
I stood in the vast living room, still clutching the boutique bag with the diamond necklace. Its weight seemed to grow heavier as Alexander’s eyes remained fixed on me.
“Take it out,” he commanded, shrugging off his jacket and tossing it onto the nearest chair.
I carefully removed the velvet box from the bag, holding it in my palm as if it might bite me. The diamonds inside were worth more than my entire year’s salary, likely several years‘ worth.
“Put it
on, ” Alexander said, loosening his tie completely and pulling it free from his collar with a soft hiss of fabric.
I opened the box, staring at the necklace. “Right now?”
“Yes, right now. I want to see it on you.”
I fumbled with the clasp, my fingers suddenly clumsy.
“Turn around,” he instructed. “Let me help you.”
I obeyed, turning my back to him and lifting my hair. His fingers brushed against my neck as he took the necklace from me. The cool metal settled against my collarbone as he fastened the clasp.
“There,” he murmured. His hands rested on my shoulders, turning me to face him. His eyes traveled from my face to the necklace, then lower. “Beautiful.”
“Thank you,” I whispered, my hand rising to touch the diamond pendant resting just above the neckline of my dress.
“But something’s not right,” he continued, his expression thoughtful.
“What do you mean?”
“I want to see you wearing only the necklace. Take off your clothes.”
“Here?” I glanced toward the windows.
“No one can see in,” he reminded me. “And yes, here. Now.”

I hesitated only a moment longer before reaching behind me to find the zipper of my gown.
Alexander didn’t move to help me; he simply watched, his eyes darkening as the zipper inched
downward.
The dress loosened around my torso, and I let it fall to my waist before pushing it past my hips. It pooled at my feet in a puddle of emerald silk.
I stood before him in the black lace lingerie I’d chosen specifically for tonight, the diamond necklace glittering at my throat.
“Keep going,” he said, his voice rougher now.
I reached behind me again, unclasping my bra. The straps slid down my arms as I removed them, exposing my breasts to the cool air of the penthouse and Alexander’s hungry gaze. My nipples hardened instantly.
“The panties, too,” he instructed.
I hooked my thumbs into the waistband of my lace underwear and slid them down my legs, stepping out of them and my heels in one fluid movement.
And then I was naked except for the diamond necklace, exactly as he wanted.
Alexander’s eyes raked over me, taking every inch of exposed skin. The intensity of his gaze was almost a physical touch, making me hyperaware of my nakedness while he remained fully dressed.
“Turn around,” he ordered. “Slowly.”
I complied, turning in a slow circle, feeling his eyes on my ass, my back, my breasts, my pussy. When I completed the rotation and faced him again, the bulge in his pants was unmistakable.
“Perfect,” he murmured. “The diamonds look even better against your bare skin than I imagined.”
“I feel a bit underdressed for the occasion,” I said, trying to inject some humor to mask my vulnerability.
“I’m overdressed,” he countered, unbuttoning his shirt with deliberate slowness. “But I wanted to see you like this first. Naked and adorned with nothing but the diamonds I bought you.”
“Is this some kind of kink, Mr. Knight? Naked women in expensive jewelry?”
“No. Just you.” His shirt joined his jacket on the chair. “Just you wearing what I give you.”
“You give me a lot of things,” I pointed out as he unbuckled his belt.
“And you wear them all beautifully.” His pants fell to the floor, revealing black boxer briefs that did

I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, fighting the urge to cover myself. “And how do I look?

“Like mine.” He closed the distance between us in two strides, his hand cupping my face. “Mine to touch.” His other hand slid down my side, resting on my hip. “Mine to taste.” He leaned in, his lips brushing against my neck just above the necklace. “Mine to fuck.”
“Is that what you’re going to do, Mr. Knight? Fuck me?”
“Eventually.” His teeth grazed my earlobe. “But first, I want to play with what’s mine.”
“And what kind of games did you have in mind, Mr. Knight?” I asked huskily.
His eyes darkened. “The kind that will make you scream my name.”
Without warning, he spun me around and pushed me forward until my palms flattened against the cold glass of the window. The chill against my naked skin made me gasp.
“Anyone looking up could see you,” he murmured, his body pressing against my back. “See this beautiful body that belongs to me.”
“You said no one could see in,” I reminded him.
“They can’t.” His hands slid up my sides to cup my breasts. “But I like knowing you’d let me display you if I wanted to.”
His fingers found my nipples, pinching them hard enough to make me cry out. The pain blended with pleasure, making my back arch.
“Fuck,” I breathed.
