Hayley’s POV: 

A so–called noble, high–ranked wolf like Monica would never willingly give in to me, an “Omega” 

She stared at Baxter in disbelief, then exploded. “Impossible! You expect me to give in to some lowly Omega? Never!” 

One of Baxter’s disciples hurried forward, trying to help him up. “Master, I also think giving in is too much. Even if they had a private wager, giving in damages one’s dignity. 

“And Ms. Carson is only an Omega–how could someone of higher rank give in to her? That completely goes against our rules.” 

He was Baxter’s senior disciple, respected in the chess world. 

With his words, Monica suddenly found her confidence again, her smug look aimed straight at me. 

I just folded my arms, smiling faintly, watching them without a word. 

Baxter’s face darkened. Gripping his cane, he slammed it twice against the floor with thunderous force. “If you still call me Master, then do the same!” 

Monica froze, then screamed, her voice shaking with outrage, “Why? Master! 

“You’ve always cared for me–why now, why for some worthless Omega, are you scolding me? I don’t understand!” 

She shot me a murderous glare after yelling outrageously. 

I ignored her, lips curling as I turned to Baxter. 

“You want to know why? I’ll tell you why. Because she is my chess teacher. 

“I taught you those strategies, but she taught me. That makes her your teacher’s teacher. Tell me–why should you be exempt from giving in?”
