"Aren’t you looking at him way too long?" Lei Qian’s sour voice spoke from behind, and Bai Meiyue sighed. She turned and looked at the man who was pouting as if she had cheated on him, right on his face at that.

Bai Meiyue arched a brow and said to him, "I wasn’t staring at Meng Qibao. I was lost in thought; why would I stare at a man who is younger than me by many years?"

"He is only one year younger!"

"He is still a baby for me." Bai Meiyue sighed and pushed the man’s face away from her own. She was not, in fact, an actual eighteen-year-old woman. She was way older, even older than Lei Qian if she were to count her soul age. So how could she be interested in Meng Qibao? A man who was only seventeen years old.

"I did ask some of the military men who came with us to deal with those men, including my own guards. They should be done by now," replied Lei Qian.
