Betrayed By Husband And Child (Romina) novel Chapter 200

Chapter200

The man took one last drag of his cigarette, stubbed it out, and tossed the butt into the nearby trash can.

She let out a cold laugh. “You really are domineering…”

As soon as she finished speaking, Joaquin suddenly grabbed her chin with one hand and, without hesitation, pressed his lips to hers.

The smoke he hadn’t yet exhaled instantly spread from his mouth into hers.

The intense feeling of suffocation, tinged with a hint of ambiguous entanglement, was so deep that she knew she would remember this kiss for a lifetime.

That sensation of wanting to cough but being unable to made it almost impossible for her to breathe.

Sensing her discomfort, Joaquin finally let her go.

He stood in front of her, his fingertip tracing her lips, lifting her chin as he spoke softly. “After Sir Bowman’s health stabilizes, I’ll go and tell him about your divorce…”

“No!” she immediately objected. “Don’t say anything.”

Joaquin’s grip on her chin tightened. “Why? Do you not want a divorce?”

Romina instinctively swallowed. Meeting his dangerous gaze, she slowly spoke. “No, I want to tell Grandpa myself. If you say it, it wouldn’t be appropriate. I can’t let you get involved in this mess…”

“Thinking of me so much? And you say you don’t have feelings for me?”

The man let out a low, husky laugh, kissed the corner of her lips, and when he looked again, his gaze was intensely intimate.

Romina’s hand unconsciously clenched her skirt, suddenly falling silent.

Joaquin cupped her face, his expression serious. “Romina, from the day we became involved, no matter how muddy this mess gets, I know I’ll never be able to get out of it.”

She naturally understood what he meant by his words.

He was saying that, no matter what, he wouldn’t let her go, right?
