Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 714

Chapter 714: Are you scared?

The moment Aiden heard Arwen say she knew the truth; his heart leapt with nervousness. His pupils dilated as he stared at her, unblinking.

She knows the truth.

Does that mean she remembered everything that she had once forgotten?

His hand moved almost on instinct, reaching to touch her fingers gently, needing that grounding.

When Arwen felt his touch, she turned to gaze at him, her brows slightly knitting together. Her eyes darted from his fingers that were holding hers to his face.

"You know it all?" he asked quietly, his voice carrying a tremor he rarely allowed to escape.

Arwen parted her lips and was about to speak when Selene abruptly pulled her arm, yanking her attention away.

That tug was rudely rough. Arwen’s brows furrowed sharply as she glared at Selene. "Ms. Martin, you —"

"What do you mean you know the truth?" Selene’s voice was nearly hysterical, her expression cracking with desperation. "Did you remember it all?" She shook her head violently as if denying her own words. "No, that’s not possible. How could you remember? You can’t. You were meant to forget it all, weren’t you?"

Arwen paused at that. Meant to forget? The frown between her brows deepened —but now with a different reason. What does that mean?

"Tell me," Selene demanded again, tugging harder at her arm. "Why are you not speaking? Do you really know it all?"

Arwen’s eyes grew unreadable, her gaze sharp and assessing. With quiet firmness, she pried Selene’s hand off her arm and straightened.

"Yes, I never believed you," she declared, her voice steady and cutting. "Because from the very first day, I knew you were not the one Aiden ever loved. You were just pretending."

"How?" Selene’s voice cracked, breathless and bewildered. It wasn’t possible. Arwen couldn’t be this certain —unless ... unless she had remembered it all.

But then again, how was that possible?

Didn’t Aiden say that she wouldn’t be able to remember their past ever?

Arwen’s lips curved into a smile, calm yet resolute. "Because I know him," she said simply, lifting her hand and pointing toward Aiden.

Selene’s gaze darted to him, searching. However, Aiden did not even look at her once. His gaze simply remained on Arwen as if he was waiting to hear her say something.

She looked back at Arwen, lost.

"Yes, I know him too well to know ..." Arwen continued, her tone unwavering. "If the girl he truly loved ever came back into his life, he would never treat her the way he treated you —cold, indifferent, dismissive. He is many things, but he is not cruel to people he cares for."

Aiden stared at her and then shook his head. "You are not being overconfident," he said, his voice low and gentle. "I would never let you go in this life and even beyond."

"I trust you on that," Arwen nodded.

Selene, who was still there, couldn’t take it anymore. Clenching, she gritted, "Arwen, aren’t you being blatantly hypocritical? You are just twisting and believing the things to your advantage."

However, Selene didn’t know that Arwen wasn’t being hypocritical. She was just stating the truth. It was Selene who was failing to understand it.

Arwen didn’t bother reacting to her words. She just turned and said, "Your bags are packed and ready." She pointed at the two luggage bags there before turning her head, she jutted her chin towards the door, "And the car is waiting for you outside. You can now leave."

Selene frowned. She looked down at her bags and said, "No, I am not leaving. You can’t ask me to leave as well."

"I can, and I am," Arwen said, smoothly cutting her words. "You once helped my mother-in-law by donating your blood, and on that account, I allowed you to stay here. But since you didn’t know how to be a guest at someone’s place, then you don’t deserve to be the guest."

Selene glared at Arwen and then gritting said, "Arwen, you are not doing this right. You can’t make me leave like this. Since you are not scared of losing Aiden, why do you have to push me away? Is it because you fear that you will lose him if you let me stay around? Did the kiss last night —"

Before she could say anything more, Aiden growled, loud and deep. "That’s enough!" His hand moved to signal, and soon two men appeared, ready to drag her out.

However, just then, Arwen stopped them. "Wait!"
