Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 733

Chapter 733: Aiden, don’t you feel scared?

The next day —

Caden glanced at his watch for the umpteenth time, sitting stiffly in the backseat of his car parked outside the dungeon where he had met Aiden the night before yesterday.

"Sir, should we go and check inside for young miss? They should have sent her out by now?" His secretary asked carefully with a hint of worry seeping into his tone.

Caden’s jaw clenched. He, too, was getting restless, but he forced himself to shake his head. "No need. They will bring her out."

"But sir, aren’t you worried —"

Before the secretary could finish, both men caught a movement from the corner of their eyes.

When they turned to look, they saw Selene finally coming out. Her legs were barely supporting her weight. Her face was deathly pale, and she looked nothing like the pampered, flawless daughter Caden remembered.

Caden’s chest tightened. His hand shot forward on instinct to open the door of the car to step out of it. "Belle!" he called, his voice carrying both relief and worry.

Selene lifted her head weakly, and upon seeing her father, the tears in her eyes that had dried up glistened again. She opened her trembling arms toward him.

Caden rushed to her, gathering her into his arms. She was still the daughter he spoiled and shielded with every luxury. But now, seeing her reduced to such a pitiful state, something inside him burned with both fury and helplessness.

This was all because of one person.

Aiden Winslow.

Caden’s teeth ground together, his jaw tightening as hatred coursed through him. The humiliation of being rendered so powerless that he couldn’t even protect his daughter was something he would never forget.

"Are you alright, Belle?" he asked, his voice hoarse with emotion. His eyes scanned her desperately, searching for any signs of harm. Though he could see no visible injuries, her condition was far from favourable. Her fae was ghostly white, her lips cracked and dry as if she hadn’t had a sip of water in days.

Selene shook her head weakly, her voice breaking. "Dad, please ... take me away. I ... I don’t want to stay here a minute longer." And with that, her body gave in.

Her eyes rolled shut, her weight collapsing in his arms as she fell unconscious.

"Belle!" Caden shouted, with panic rising in his voice. He shook her lightly. But she didn’t stir.

Without wasting another moment, he scooped her up and barked at his secretary, "To the hospital. Fast!"

And then, he hurried to the car.

————

Not long after, Selene lay in a hospital bed as a doctor examined her with utmost care. He checked her eyes, pulse and condition with a furrowed brow before giving instructions to the nurses.

Finally, he turned to Caden, who stood tensely at the foot of the bed. "Is she your daughter?"

"Yes," Caden answered quickly. "How is she doing now? Is there something to be worried about?"

"Yes," the doctor said firmly. "She hasn’t been allowed food, water, or proper rest for more than twenty-four hours. She is extremely dehydrated, her blood sugar has dropped, and her body has finally shut down. What she needs now is IV fluids, proper nourishment and uninterrupted sleep." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
