Chapter 747: When it comes to you, I believe no one.

"Where did you go?" Arwen asked when she saw Aiden finally entering the room. Her eyes darted to look at the clock. It wasn’t very late, but still, she was expecting him to come early.

Aiden looked at her forehead, which was still wrapped with a bandage. "Did you change it?"

Arwen touched the gauge and slowly nodded. "The nurse came earlier to help me change it. It’s no longer hurting, and I am better."

"And did the doctor come?" he asked again, and she pursed her lips before rolling her eyes at him.

"Husband, he had long said I am fine. Do you still not believe him?"

"When it comes to you, I believe no one," he said without hesitating before stepping closer to look at her carefully. "You are the treasure for which I can risk everything in this world. I can’t bear to see even a strand of your hair getting harmed."

Arwen stared at him and couldn’t help but smile. "I know, and that’s why I am reassuring you again and again that I am fine. You don’t have to burn the work over a simple accident. And I am sure they didn’t intend it."

Aiden’s gaze darkened for a moment, but before Arwen could notice it, it was gone.

"You should rest now," he said, and Arwen blinked.

Her gaze darted to look around before she turned back to Aiden to ask, "You want me to rest here?"

Aiden raised his brow slightly. "You don’t want to rest here?" 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

She shook her head. "I want to get back home now. I already spent a night here in the hospital. Another day won’t make me feel good. And the doctor said I can get discharged anytime."

"But, Moon —"

"Husband, please," she puppy-eyed him, blinking them to persuade him. "I want to rest in our room, cuddling in your warm embrace. Can I not?"

Aiden stared at her and sighed.

How could he refuse her when she tries to convince him like this?

"Fine, I will take you back, but you have to promise me that you will take rest seriously," he put forth the condition.

Arwen nodded at once. "I will, don’t worry."

"You will also stay back and rest tomorrow," he explained his words better, and she paused at that.

"Tomorrow?" she repeated, and he nodded.

Her brows furrowed a little, but then, thinking she nodded, "Fine, I won’t go to the office tomorrow. But in the evening, I have something to do, and for that I will be stepping out."

"Moon, you —"

Before he could refuse her, she cut him off. "You don’t trust me, husband?" she pressed her lips into a thin line. "I told you I am not hurt. It was just a minor accident, and Alfred was able to make it in the right time."

"But you still got hurt."
