Chapter 749: Could she have forgotten them as well?

Aiden was working in his office when Emyr entered, knocking at the door.

"Sir, Dafydd Winslow has arrived in Cralens," he reported, his tone urgent. "He is stepping out of the airport as we talk."

However, despite his pressing tone, Aiden sat nonchalantly as though he didn’t find the situation critical at all.

"Let him find who he is here for. Don’t stop him," he said, and for a second Emyr felt confused.

But then Aiden pushed the chair and rose to his height. Grabbing his suit jacket, he said, "Let’s go. We need to host them." And with that, he didn’t stay. He walked out of his office.

Emyr watched him for a moment before he also followed him.

Meanwhile —

On the other side, Arwen checked the time on her phone before she got up to leave. "Mr. Jones, I will return on time. But if I happen to be late, don’t let Aiden worry. Just remind him that I have left alone. I have gone with the group of people he left around me."

She told, knowing Aiden’s antics.

The butler smiled and nodded in understanding. "Got it, Madam. I will explain it carefully to sir."

Arwen nodded, and then, giving a last glance at him, she turned to leave.

Outside, Alfred had long been informed of her plans. So, he was waiting, ready with the car.

"Good afternoon, Madam," he greeted, and Arwen glanced at him with a small smile. Her eyes grew a little smaller with concern before she nodded to his greeting and asked.

"How are you feeling, Alfred?" Her voice held the dip of genuine worry. "If you aren’t well, you can take a rest for a few days. I can bring someone else. You don’t have to rush."

Alfred shook his head politely. "Madam, I am better already. I won’t risk your safety. Only now that I feel better, am I confident in serving you again. If not, I wouldn’t have the courage."

Arwen pressed her lips in a thin line, then nodded to him. "Then, let’s go. It’s already time, and I need to get there as soon as possible."

Alfred opened the door of the car for her. "Madam, please."

Arwen soon slipped inside the car. And after she settled there, Alfred closed the door for her and went to slide inside the driver’s seat.

The location was long shared with him, so the drive to Calvin’s clinic was not difficult. It took some time, but soon Alfred pulled the car up outside Reese’s clinic.

"Madam, we have arrived," he announced just when Arwen noticed.

She checked the time on her watch once again. They were just in time. Pulling her lips in a small, polite smile, she turned to Alfred. "Thank you for driving me here, Alfred. I will go inside, and you can take a rest until then."

"Okay, madam," he replied before getting down to open the door for her.
