Giselle stood up and said, "Renee, it looks like you can't meet the condition I mentioned earlier. Fine. I won't push it. Today's negotiation ends here. Starting now, your pharmacy will pay 300% more for supplies from Kane Group. Take it, or leave it!"
"Bullshit!" Renee snapped, still refusing to believe Donovan would actually let Giselle interfere. She had thought Giselle was just there to show off and had never taken her seriously.
"Whatever." Giselle threw an indifferent glance her way as she turned around. "But you heard Donovan in the office just now. He's put me in charge of all dealings with you, so stop bothering him. If you're smart, you'll start figuring out how to kiss my ass instead."
With that, Giselle shot Renee a mocking glance and walked out casually.
Renee glared after her, seething, before finally dragging herself off the floor. Then, she took a sip of water to steady her breathing.
She had never imagined that the nobody she'd always looked down on would rise so fast and step all over her like this.
All these years, Renee had never taken Giselle seriously. To her, Giselle was just a wild, short-tempered woman from nowhere. She had no real background nor any chance of making waves.
But after today's conflict—and witnessing that Giselle had married into the Kane family—Renee couldn't stay calm anymore. Her body ached, her head spun, and a cold chill crept down her spine.
