Buried by My Alpha Crowned novel Chapter 104

We have no idea who placed this curse on her and yet, there’s still no way we can solve this? There’s no solution whatsoever? He asked, his hands tightened into fist.

I wish I had a solution myself,Arthur sighed, It wouldn’t take me anything to help Evelyn if it was well within my capacity.

Fucking hellAskhan cursed under his breath.

I could see his face turning red with anger. I didn’t remember the last time I’d seen him so endearing. If I wasn’t so heartbroken at the thought of not finding a solution to this curse, I might have found his anger a bit endearing.

I’m going to call on the wise men of the werewolf world.Askhan took out his phone.

Askhan.I called out to me but he was past reason at this point.

If anything, they would have answers to your question, Evelyn. He continued, furiously typing something on his phone.

You have to exercise caution, prince Askhan.Arthur spoke up again.

This got the royal prince’s attention though the frustration was still evident on his face. Arthur’s face was calm even though he’d just delivered such a devastating news.

Askhan looked puzzled at Arthur’s words and this got him to stop for a while. Arthur’s gaze went to Evander who had been silently watching everything play out this whole time.

Are you one of the border secret squads?Arthur asked.

Evander looked pretty wary at the question being asked. He slowly nodded his head but his eyes still held that cautiousness they’d always have right from the moment I met him.

He was still wearing that that look of wariness as Arthur continued to regard him. No doubt, he was probably like that since his presence was meant to be a secret.

I wondered how Arthur had managed to know so quickly. The Elder was still regarding him with those observatory eyes of his.

After a while, he shrugged. Your chief captains were once trained by me, you know.

Evander looked a bit surprised by this but his eyes still held that wariness in them. I understood that even if that was true, it didn’t mean that he was all that happy about Arthur putting it out in the open.

I’d had enough of it. I stepped forward, my gaze fixed on Arthur who had now turned to regard me.

Stop saying things that shouldn’t be made public,I said to him, I’m sure there won’t be any divine consequences if we didn’t know about all that.

Arthur regarded me for a while before humming. I suppose you’re right about that.

I let out a breath and turned to Evander who had an unreadable expression on his face. I was about to say something else when the sound of footsteps approaching made me stop.

I turned just in time to see Cyrus walk in. As soon as his gaze landed on me, he quickened his steps as he made his way to me.

Are you alright? Where you hurt anywhere? He asked, his eyes raking over my face and then my body.

It was heartwarming to see how he seemed worried he was about my wellbeing. Even though I was frustrated at the news I’d just received, I couldn’t help but soften at his gaze.

I wasn’t harmed. I’m alright, Cyrus.I said to him.

His shoulders sagged in relief at my words. He noted the way my smile seemed to drop.

What’s wrong?He asked.

I proceeded to explain what Arthur had said about the curse and how there was nothing that could be done to fix it.

Chapter 104

The look in his eyes broke me.

He turned to Arthur, a desperate look in his eyes. Isn’t there something we can do about this?

Arthur was looking at all the people who looked frustrated in the room. No doubt, he didn’t like being the bearer of bad news. After a while, he sighed.

Although there is no solution in the records, I am still an Elder regardless.

What do you mean?I stepped closer to him.

What I mean is,he continued, I’m going to find a way come what may.

Everyone turned to Arthur, their eyes glistening with an expectation that should have left him unnerved. Arthur simply stared at us with a composed expression, like an adult watching a group of children fawn over a piece of candy.

Are you serious?Askhan stepped forward, excitement bleeding out of his voice.

Arthur nodded. I can find a way. It doesn’t matter how I have to.

That’s awesome,Cyrus turned to me, It means you can still find your wolf and get rid of the curse.

I held Cyrus’s hand, wanting to believe that it wouldn’t hurt to hold on to that sliver of hope that Arthur was extending it would work out for me. We could pull this through and still succeed at it.

to me. I wanted to believe that

But,Arthur continued, I’ll need some time to validate the solution. It’s not going to come as quickly as you’ve been expecting it to.
