Chapter 97
After dinner, I was scrolling through my phone for any news I might get of the academy. Halven and Greyven who had been in some sort of decusion finally cleared their throats, getting the attention of everyone in the room.
“We’re going to talk to Froste alone.” Greyven said, more to me than anyone in the room.
I realized they were asking permission from me to do that. After giving it a brief thought, I nodded my head.
The only ones here now were Askhan and Cyrus. There was a mischievous glint in Askhan’s eyes as he made his way to me.
“Let’s go golfing.”
There was a small golf course in the house and we all went there. Cyrus was the first to start, breaking into a conversation while he focused on the game.
“How were the Elders?”
“It was okay. Seeing an Elder was actually surprising. I did not expect him to look so young.” I answered truthfully.
Cyrus hummed just as he made way for Askhan. “Did they say anything about getting your wolf back?”
“For now, no. I feel I need to be more active in getting knowledge.” I said, letting out a breath.
“I think so to.” I could hear the smile in Cyrus’s voice.
My gaze went back to scrolling through my phone. Just then, an email notification popped on my phone. I cocked my head a bit, clicking it open despite wondering what it could be.
It was from my real estate business. Someone wanted to buy a house.
Without hesitating, I made my way to Cyrus and Askhan, excitement and happiness evident on my face.
I was about to earn money with own hands.
My mind was racing with more thoughts than I could keep track of. I was too excited to even stay still.
At the moment, I was applying some make–up while mentally thinking of the best outfit to wear. Once I was done with the make–up, I hurried to do a bit of styling on my brows.
Some of my maids came to stop me just as I began rummaging for something to wear. They all looked pretty eager as they stopped me.
“My lady,” one of them started, “You need to dress up for this interview.”
“Yes, my lady.” Another one piped in.
The one that had spoken first clapped her hands. Immediately, a line of maids began walking into the room, each of them holding some clothes.
They all stood displaying the outfits they held, giving me a plethora of choices to pick from. The maid who looked to be the chief maid began to speak again.
“You can make your choice from all these outfits, my lady. They’re all sure to look good on you.”
My eyes ran through each of the clothes being displayed for me. After a while, I casually pointed at one of them.
The clothes weren’t unpacked just yet so I had just settled for one that I felt would be a good enough fit.
The maid brought the clothes over to me and I slowly unpacked in. Truthfully, it looked pretty nice.
I looked at the price tag, my knees almost/giving out if it weren’t for me holding on to a balance that kept me upright.
The shirt cost about 1.5W. My commission from selling an apartment would only be enough to buy the shirt. Staring at it made me uncomfortable as
time went on.

I turned to the maid. “This is all too extravagant.”
The maid looked resigned. “This is your plainest clothes, my lady. There isn’t any other option you can choose from.
I looked back at the outfit once more and sighed. It seemed I didn’t have much of a choice. I eventually pot on the clothes, checking myself in ther mirror before grabbing some documents and leaving.
I was about to make my way to the garage when a thought made me pause. All the cars there were pretty expensive. There was no way I read goin one of them.
My gaze drifted to my bike which was just a little distance away. Perfect. I could go in that. I unchained the bike and brought it out.
It was a bit difficult balancing my bag as I got on it but I managed to make it work. With that, I rode out of the house and towards the place of appointment.
It didn’t take long before I reached there. I parked the bike and brushed my clothes down before making my way towards the place
I noticed a woman standing a little bit to the side. As soon as her eyes landed on me, she smiled warmly.
“You must be Evelyn.” She said, stretching her hand out for a handshake. “I’m Lillian.“
