On the other end of the door Vanessa was seething in full force! A vein nearly popped in her brain she was so angry! Not only were they talking about showing more supportbut now they wanted to bring her into the company!!! How could they!!! Vanessa stormed off to her room, there was no way she would allow this!

As she stalked away, she passed Josie’s room. Curious, she went into her room and roamed through her things. That’s when she came across a binder filled with blueprints and sketches. Vanessa’s eyes widen with shock. Josie could draw and designand what was worseshe was amazing.

So much detail and creativity….Vanessa could hardly believe it! How could someone so young be this talented. Fury began to seep into Vanessa’s veins as the envy boiled over.

That fuckin bitch!! It’s not fair!!! It’s not fair!!!!

Five years! Five years of watching someone more beautiful than her, smarter than her, nicer than her….and now….a fucking prodigy!!! Vanessa nearly screamed as she stormed out of Josie’s room.

I won’t allow it!!! I won’t allow it!!! That bitch will not get what belongs to me!!!

Vanessa paced back and forth in her room erratically as she tried to think of a plan to get rid of Josie once and for all.

If I don’t get rid of that bitch now she’ll take everything!!!

As the weeks continued, both Josie and Vanessa graduated from Highschool. To Vanessa’s dismay, their graduation dates were on separate days; so the Taylor family was able to attend Josie’s graduation.

Josie could hardly believe her ears the night Harold asked for invitations.

YYou all want to come to my graduation?

Hints of both shock and happiness was in Josie’s voice as she stared at her parents.

Of course we do….we’re your parents Josie.

Harold looked at Josie with annoyance, but his voice gave away a hint of guilt. Did she really think they wouldn’t come to her graduation.

Honestly Josieyou act as if we don’t care.

Laura rolled her eyes as she sipped her wine. Why did she have to act like they didn’t care about her. It wasn’t their fault they weren’t as close to her. She was the one that kept starting trouble.

I’m only going because I’m being forced.

Jamie scoffed as he stood from the table; but Josie was used to his abrasive behavior, so it no longer bothered her. Smiling, she nodded in response.

Well, thank you anyway Jamie.

Chapter 249

After the graduation, Vanessa began to really panic. Josie was praised throughout the entire ceremony; when Vanessa graduated, she barley got recognized at all. Her parents didn’t say anything at the time, but she wasn’t a fool. She knew her father and brother wasn’t please with her mediocre academic career. Meanwhile, Josie earned a prestigious award that placed her name in the school forever. The night of the graduation party, her father bragged about her to everyone; he’d hardly mentioned Vanessa at all.

It was that moment Vanessa realized she not only had to get rid of Josie, but she had to destroy her name. Afterwards, she would use all of Josie’s hard work to build her own career and secure her place in the Taylor empire.

After the graduation, Josie spent most of her time at her grandmother’s. That worked in Vanessa’s favor; while Josie was gone, she would sneak into her room copying her blueprints and sketches. Luckily, Vanessa could draw so copying her work as her own proved to be a simpler task than she’d expected.

One day, Josie came home earlier than expected, nearly walking in on Vanessa stealing her work.

Vanessa….what are you doing in my room?

Startled, Vanessa almost fell backwards when she heard Josie’s voice.

OOh….I was just looking for some jewelry. I wanted to know if I could borrow a bracelet.

Josie knew she was lying; however, she decided to let it go. She knew if she made a big deal about it, the Taylors would flip it on her. All Vanessa would have to do is start crying and she would become public enemy number one.
