Vote 114 Belladonna It had been five days since shed woken up and during those five days shed found Parker at her bedside , just casually sitting in the room even when Whit and Milly werent there .
Shed told him to go and work or play with the children .
You cant get rid of me that easily , hed commented .
Hed taken up residence and was merrily annoying her at times , thought it was funny to tease her about many little things , and had taken his cue from Whit on that one .
But he also kept the boredom away as well , played cards with her and word games .
It was all she could manage to do .
She still had no wolfen healing , and it was slow going .
She didnt know how humans did this lay in a hospital for days on end .
Most wolfen patients were in and out in a matter of one to two days .
Wolfen healing was quick for the most part .
Wolves only ended up in the hospital after serious injury from pack attacks , and most only needed staples to bring wounds together , and once that was done and active knitting was seen , they were sent on their way .
The other was collapsed lungs and a reinflation of the lung , and once the needle or tube was removed , they could leave the hospital within a few hours .
There was a TV here , and shed watched movies with Whit and Milly , and Parker had gone off and found her something to read when shed asked him too .
He kind of never said no to anything she wanted him to do , unless it was him leaving to go and work in his office .
He had that covered apparently and wasnt needed .
Kanes all over it .
hed smiled at her .
He reminded her to use her deep breathing lung exerciser .
She hated them three balls right now , but again it was to help with respiration because shed had a collapsed lung and with no wolf to heal it needed to exercise it , apparently .
He walked the ward with her when she had to get up and walk about as part of her recovery , and he had waved the nurse off and told her he would walk with her .
She was still attached to a drip , but that was coming out today .
It was only running a dose of antibiotics , her last one .
She was being released tomorrow .
Had met all of Annettes and the current surgeon , Heaths , criteria .
Though she still got tired from walking about and had the occasional bout of chest pain , but that was to be expected from all shed read , and she had read up on her own condition , so had Parker , and he shook his head or stated youre not supposed to do that if she wanted to do something ahead of schedule because she felt a bit better .
Very annoying for her , she didnt much like being a patient .
Hed gone off with Annette while shed been assisted with a shower by the nurse .
It was tough going trying to do it on her own .
She found it difficult and that was apparently normal .
She was sitting on her bed when Annette strolled in with Parker after looking at the house she was staying in , though she was certain the woman knew what it looked like .
Im not happy with you going there , Annette stated .
it has a dozen stairs just to walk up to the front door .
Then ten down to the ground floor where your room is , and eight from the front up to the childrens rooms .
Thats 18 steps to get from the ground floor to the children .
door up And although climbing the stairs is good for you , you cant rush it , one step every two seconds , and you cant race up there if say , Milly cries or calls out for you .
You cant pull yourself up them , that will hurt and reduce recovery time .
Id much prefer a single level dwelling , with you taking a walk and doing stairs that way , for at least six weeks .
Six weeks , where are we going to stay then ? she murmured , though Parker was leaning on the door to her room all casual like , and she wondered if hed put Annette up to that little spiel .
I suggest inside the packhouse .
There are no two story suites , and an elevator , and plenty of stairs for you to use and get your strength back up on , the right way .
You can even leave it and walk outside , only ten steps off the western side of the packhouse and six at the front , Annette stated .
I dont have a suite in the packhouse , She murmured .
Actually , you do .
Parker smiled at her .
I did prepare a suite for you and the children in the packhouse , as well as the house , not knowing where youd want to be .
Its still there and ready , you could move into it tomorrow .
She frowned at him and looked at Annette .
