67 Parker He heard her stilettos clicking on the tiled floor of the packhouse , coming from the elevator .

She was angry, he could tell just by the way she walked , or stomped her way to his office .

He was damned sure that threat was the only thing bringing her to him right this minute .

She didnt understand what shed done , had been inside this pack for months unable to go out shopping and spend money , her pack card still had that limit , and she was on nothing but what she could earn for herself , which was nothing because shed had no offers in months .

Hed not even once offered her anything from Lustre Inc.

He looked right at her as she stomped into his office and stopped in the middle of the room .

He could feel his anger rolling off him , off of Vex himself and allowed it to be felt down their bond , the utter fury that was within him and his beast aimed right at her .

She blinked at feeling it , and he watched as her demeanour actually faulted , and that anger of hers turned to real confusion .

Shed seen him angry many times , but what she was getting was utter fury , and because it was also his beast , Ruby , her wolf was starting to feel anxious about being before him .

This one crime was so far back that he had no idea if the tech department could even find any proof of it , of her dealings whod shed had help her .

He didnt think she was smart enough to come up with this plan on her own , let alone word those emails from him to Gretta and actually sound like him .

No , there had to be someone else involved , shed not have been able to stay calm about it , had insulted Belladonna and his child in that very first response , so he didnt think she could have held her tongue and been logical about any of it .

He watched as she walked over to him , and reached out a hand to touch him .

She was going to try and use their bond to calm him , it seemed .
