Chosen just to be Rejected (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 90

90 +9 Point : 90 Parker He sat in his office after Belladonna had left and thought about what she had just told him ; she didnt have any connection with anyone at all , bar Whit and Milly , and she put it down to Freya , her own wolf .

It could well be just that , if her wolf had never socialised with any of those here inside the pack , then no connection had been established with any of them , shed become antisocial , so to speak … his own wolf had never been allowed to see her or mate her , she couldnt be called out by just anyone .

Freya and whatever type of wolf she was , likely had a destiny of her own , one that probably didnt involve being mated to any other out there in the world .

Perhaps things would have been different if that wasnt the case .

Maybe they could have had a proper mate bond and come to truly love each other .

Belladonna wasnt currently distant from him , or he didnt think so .

She was sitting and talking with him every day , accepting coffee from him , or having a meal with him , or them .

She was allowing that this evening .

A dinner just for him and her , the two children , in the private dining room .

She had just nodded when he asked if she and the children would join him .

Hadnt rejected it , didnt look to even consider rejecting it .

They could get along , and easily so , shed not shied away from him hugging her either , just smiled at him .

Told him shed never hated him .

That was good to hear ; a relief .

There was room to move and try to start building a connection if it could be done .

Though her not having connections to any others , that bothered him because it meant even now , here in the present , she still couldnt likely do that .

So could it be any different between them ? If he asked her out ? Or would it just remain the same ? That bothered him quite a bit as he sat and thought about it .

If he told her he loved her , and she agreed to become his mate once more , and she was still completely indifferent to him , would he be able to handle that ? Not even he knew the answer to that question .

It would also mean that Vex would go back to not having a wolfen mate that cared at all to be with him .

Wouldnt want to run with him , wouldnt want to talk with him or interact in anyway , wouldnt even allow herself to be seen by him , Vex ? he asked his wolf .

Love Belladonna .

Vex stated simply , 1/4 90 +8 Point : But Freya .

Parker pushed a little still concerned .

Was never mine , will never be .

Vex told him I know that .

His beast sounded resigned to the idea of it .

Its not nice for you though .

Parker murmured .

Bella never objected to me mating her in human form .

Wouldnt object again .

Vex told him .

No , I suppose not … if we can get back to that , of course .

She likes it here … though … Though Parker prompted even though he had a feeling he knew what Vex was going to say , his beast had been quietly watching her for the past six months , trying Parker thought , to figure her out himself .

Freya hardly there now , has gotten less over the past six months .

Vex huffed .

Do you think shes unhappy to return here , where we are ? it was the question he didnt want to really ask , but what if bringing them back here to his pack was not what Freya wanted , but Belladonna was now considering it .

She was so very kind and considerate , and he knew she would want her son , their son , to be happy .

So was she in fact sacrificing her own wolf for the happiness of her own child ? Shed never put herself first , not once and with that disconnection she felt to everything , something she even felt from her own wolf .

Would it concern her at all to lose her wolf if there was no real connection to her ? Dont know , dont understand Freya .

Vex stated , Cant and if her own human cant , no one can .

Parker sighed heavily to himself and got up .

He couldnt figure it out .
