Claimed by My Bully Alpha (by Anna Kendra) novel Chapter 55

Aurora’s POV

I followed behind Shane hesitantly, each step making me feel like I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life. But did I really have a choice o couldn’t turn back even if I wanted to. Not when he had already given the full payment to Jeremy and sent them away.

Jeremy might have forgiven me after my dad went and threw a tantrum at the restaurant, but this time, I don’t think he’ll be as forgiving. If there was on thing Jeremy hated the most, it was the wastage of food and now, because of me, a hundred orders of Burgers and fries would’ve been wasted and gren away to the poor and homeless for free. If I hadn’t taken up this job, then there would’ve been no way I could’ve faced Jeremy again.

But now, as I followed Shane inside the humongous mansion that was decorated with balloons, expensive flowers, and lights in perfect arrangements, I felt my hands tremble as I clutched them behind my back, keeping my head bowed so I wouldn’t accidentally make eye contact with the guards menacingly stationed at several corners.

You’re a fool!My mind told me. You should’ve never listened to Shane! Ile is bad news personified! And now, your fate is in his hands!

But even if I was the fool, I couldn’t let Jeremy and his restaurant suffer because of me.

The gated estate sprawled for acres on each side, consisting mostly of forested areas, but in the middle of that forest, stood tall, modern buildings that looked welldesigned and equipped with modern technology.

Shane led me to the nearest building that was four stories tall and looked more like a mansion with huge floor to ceiling glass windows and pretty lights hanging from the roof. I had no idea whose birthday it was, but it had to be one of their group members. I saw several cars parked all around the area, all expensive looking and polished to perfection. The light glinting off of them caught my eyes, making me look even smaller than I was.

I didn’t belong here. I never would. These people with their huge, welldecorated houses and their polished cars and everything nice that I couldn’t even begin to imagine, belonged to a completely different world than me. And when I realized that even the servants and guards shuffling through the area with efficiency, were even better dressed than meI just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole.

The lobby area was mostly deserted, but beautifully decorated with a touch of both modern fixtures as well as antique furniture in the sitting area. The woman at the reception was a tall blonde woman, who gave Shane a surprised look before giving me the same disdainful look that the guards had given me outside. It made me selfconscious; made me feel inferior.

But as soon as we entered the elevator and the doors closed with a ping, Shane turned to face me with a smirk that screamed trouble. You seriously are a golddigger, aren’t you?He spat at me. You’ve been hanging around Caleb like a little flea for two weeks now! You even managed to seduce a teacher to earn cash! And then you had the nerve to act like the victim! What a pathetic little whore!

Each word stung like a thousand needles, but I remained silent, my head lowered as I kept my eyes on the marbled floor. I closed my eyes to stop the tears, to absorb the hurt. But it didn’t seem to be working.

What did I do to deserve this? Even thinking about the way that my teacher had humiliated me made my skin crawland now Shane was making the same assumptions that I feared everyone would have made if more people at school had found out.

Why? Why did I have to slap him that day? Why couldn’t I have just closed my eyes and left quietly, without laying a hand on Shane. If I had, then I wouldn’t be in this situation today. If only I had never crossed paths with Calebif only I had never known him

Unknowingly, a tear slipped from the corner of my eyes and I only realized it when Shane touched the side of my cheeks to wipe it away.

Startled, I opened my eyes to find his face impossibly close to mine, so close that it made me back right up against the walls of the elevator in discomfort. But that just made Shane’s smirk grow wider.

Save some of your tears for later, whore,He whispered next to my ear, leaning forward as he did so. Because you’ll be crying a river before the night

ends.

The close proximity made my skin crawl, the hair at my nape stand in attention as if my mind knew a larger predator was nearby.

Before I could respond, the doors to the elevator dinged open and he turned and exited the door, with me running behind him to catch up. However, I had to stop short not long after because I found Mia waiting for us just round a corner, and she smiled eagerly as she saw us approaching.

There she is!She clapped her hands together as we neared. Come now, you need to get into uniform to serve the guests.
