Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1073

She could not help asking, "Doctor, was he so in pain that he fainted?"

The doctor observed for a while and said, "Err... I think Mr. Hopper is just sleepy and naturally fell asleep. If he faints in pain in a short period of time, his breath will either be too weak or too rapid, unlike the calm pace he has now. But to be safe, I'd better have another check on it."

Amelia thought the same. "Yes! Please!!"

With the consent of the patient's family member, the doctor held the back of Patrick's neck with one hand and nimbly unfastened his neck guard with the other. After that, he began checking like how he did at the beginning.

During the process, Amelia kept on staring at Patrick, but he did not wake up, he did not even move his eyelids. He was completely at ease.

A moment later, the doctor tied back Patrick's neck guard. He got up and whispered to Amelia, "Ms. Ramsay, Mr. Hopper's neck is all right. I think he is really just sleepy."

"Really?" Looking at Patrick's strangely tranquil face, Amelia mumbled uncertainly.

"Ms. Ramsay, do you need any other help?" the doctor asked.

"Oh, could you please find a nurse on duty to come and take care of my husband? I have something else to attend to, so I want to leave first."

Amelia found a more tactful excuse, instead of saying it was because her husband did not want to see her.

After hearing that, the doctor generously said that it was no big deal.

This was mainly because of Patrick's well-known identity in the Northville. It would not go wrong for the hospital to please him in a proper way.

"Thank you so much, doctor!" After expressing her gratitude, Amelia turned back to look at Patrick's arms, only to find that his hands were shrunk under the quilt.

She could only gently lift the corner of his quilt and reach out her hand to touch his hands.

He spread his palms downwards. After a round of touch, Amelia found nothing above nor below them.

She searched for it again in disbelief, but she still could not find the bag she wanted.

Amelia's face froze, she suddenly leaned over and looked through the gaps of the quilt, but she could faintly see nothing!

Amelia put the quilt back and looked at the edge of the bed, then the bottom of the bed. The more she looked at it, the deeper she frowned.

At this time, the doctor had come with a male intern.

In fact, they had been standing here for a while, but Amelia, who had been busy looking for her bag, had ignored their existence.

Until...

The male intern could not stand it anymore. He happened to be on duty today, but he was very sleepy. He was woken up by the doctor when he was lying on the desk just a moment ago.

The doctor told him that it was the right time for him to curry favor with an influential party. That was why he came.

But it seemed that it was better for him to go back and sleep at this moment, "Sir, why not you go and ask?"

"Okay, let me ask." The doctor also thought that Amelia needed help.

"Ms. Ramsay, did you lost something? Do you need me and my student to help you look for it?"

The doctor's voice attracted Amelia's attention. She got up from the ground and said with a dusty face and a constrained smile, "Never mind! Err, who is this guy next to you?"

The doctor said, "Oh, He is my student. Didn't you say that you need someone to help you to take care of Mr. Hopper?"

Amelia wiped the sweat from her head. She gave a subtle glare at Patrick who was 'asleep' and then apologized to the two. "Hmm, I think I don't need to bother anyone else. I can take care of him myself. Sorry to have caused you trouble."

The doctor was stunned and asked, "Does Ms. Ramsay mean to stay?"

"Yes..." Amelia replied somewhat weakly.

"Well, it seems to be very important. Let me remind you, it's on my left..." Patrick did not intend to take it himself.

Amelia remained her last sane and said, "I've just looked for it on both sides! It's not there!"

Patrick said calmly, "It's because you brought the doctor here so I had no choice. I don't want to lose my face in front of outsiders, so I could only hide the piss bag somewhere else."

Amelia was really speechless. Patrick could always talk about a dirty thing in a very calm manner!

What was more!

Amelia was angry and said, "My bag isn't a piss bag, it's a Cucci!" One that cost a lot you b*stard!

Patrick comforted her and said, "Fine, fine, it's a Cucci branded piss bag."

Amelia was speechless.

Screw it!

She no longer hesitated to lift the corner of the quilt on his left, and as she had expected, her bag was placed beside his hand.

She stretched out her hand to touch it without hesitation, and then uttered a doubtful "Hmm?" She subconsciously questioned, "It's not wet."

Patrick burst into laughter.

His laughter was like the sting of a bee that instantly pierced into Amelia's head. She came to her senses and said, "Well, you lied to me!"

Patrick curled his lips and said, "That's right. I'm just joking with you. Why are you so serious?"

But then again, if he really did smudge her things due to urinary incontinence, and she was still able to touch it with her hand without any psychological burden, it was really...
