Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1075

Hearing Amelia asking if he wanted to go to the toilet, Patrick did not hesitate to say yes.

"Do you need me to help you to move over?" Amelia looked at him and asked.

Patrick would think she was behaving like a hooligan and ask her to get out if it was another woman who had asked this question.

But everything would be different if the question was from Amelia.

Patrick turned his head slightly and said with an evil look, "Then I'll have to trouble you, Mrs. Hopper."

Seeing his evil intentions at the bottom of his eyes, Amelia suddenly let go of his hand and said faintly, "I suddenly remember that you hurt your neck, not your foot. I think you can take care of yourself. Hmm... yeah, you should do it yourself. I'll go downstairs to buy breakfast."

"Wait!" Patrick stopped her with regret.

Amelia looked back at him and asked, "Anything else?"

Patrick asked softly, "Was it you covered me with the quilt?"

Amelia did not deny it. "Yes."

Patrick then questioned Amelia closely, "When did it happen?"

Amelia's eyes flashed slightly. "When I woke up in the morning."

Patrick shrugged. "Oh, I thought you covered the quilt for me in the midnight while I was asleep."

Amelia frowned, but her expression relaxed quickly. "Don't give it too much thought. How would I let myself suffered for an idiot? Don't forget. I am now an acting chair of a company. Health is valuable to me!"

Patrick turned his eyes slowly on Amelia's face.

After seeing her pretending to be calm, Patrick said slowly, "That's right. Who would sacrifice themselves for an idiot? Unless she is a fool."

What the f*ck!

Amelia could not help rolling her eyes at him. "How could he say something like that?" Amelia thought to herself.

Her expression had caught in Patrick's eyes. An idea came to him, so he asked, "What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"

"No!" Amelia answered him heavily. Then she turned around, picked up the leather bag on the bedside table, and left the ward with inexplicable anger.

Patrick stared at her back that was full of anger, and started to understand the truth.

He reached out to grab his suit jacket and took a deep breath of it. There was some slight smell of the shower gel within the fragrance of 'Water of Life¹, and some faint smell of cigarettes smokes.

If he had not been so familiar with the taste of Amelia's shower gel, he would probably have missed out on the truth.

Amelia told him that she gave the quilt to him after waking up. If that was the case, why was there a trace of her smell on his suit jacket?

"This shouldn't be the case!" Patrick thought to himself.

The only explanation was that Amelia woke up once. Then she took off his suit jacket and covered him with the quilt. The reason why she did this was that she loved him!

It had to say that once Mr. Patrick diverged his mind, it would be scary as well. He would directly assume Amelia's kindness as her love for him.

Patrick could not wait to put on the suit jacket.

But the next second, he remembered that he was going to pee, and the condition of the toilet was terrible!

To prevent the strange smell from getting on the suit jacket worn by Amelia, he could only take it off and put it back on the bed.

Patrick said in a low voice, "No, it doesn't."

Hearing that he said it did not hurt, the attending doctor changed an angle and then asked, "How about this?"

Patrick paused for a moment and said with a calm face, "It doesn't hurt."

"Oh." The doctor still wanted to turn around his neck fully, but unexpectedly, Patrick waved away his hand quietly again.

Patrick said, "Doctor, it seems that I can be discharged from the hospital."

Just as the doctor was about to speak, he heard Amelia's cold voice beside him. "Doctor, don't be fooled by him. He's still in pain."

The doctor looked at her and said, "Eh? But Mr. Hopper said that he is alright."

Patrick looked at her and said gravely, "Yes. I'm fine now. You don't have to worry, dear... Ah!"

Amelia withdrew her fingers, which aimed at Patrick's neck and shook them in the air to ease the pain. Then she said to the stunned doctor, "See, doctor, I'm not lying. He's still in pain."

The doctor was stunned for a while before he got back his composure when Patrick gasped. He did not know whether he should respond to Amelia's words first or to care about Patrick's injury!

After thinking for a while, the doctor decided to take care of both sides.

While he was inspecting the injury for Patrick, he flattered Amelia, "Ms. Ramsay had such an observant eyes. You're much more professional than me as an orthopedics doctor!"

Amelia smiled and said nothing.

But Patrick's face turned green in pain.
