Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1083

Amelia could see Patrick was impatient and gloomy from his expression, and the doctor's chatter was likely to lead him to suicide.

She opened the door handle in a hurry and said to the people in the ward with a big smile, "Patrick, take a quick look. What delicious food have I brought for you?"

Her appearance was like a stream of clear water that washed away the depression and boredom that Patrick had accumulated for the whole day.

Her appearance lifted Patrick's mood, and the corners of his mouth raised a little. The doctor, who had been trying to please him, burst into tears.

"You're finally off work?" Patrick looked at her and asked lightly. There were too many emotions in his eyes, which included relief and missing.

Before meeting Amelia, Patrick never felt that being idle for a day was such a painful thing.

He could not do anything and could not see anyone. He could just lay quietly in the hospital bed.

Without the never-ending work and the never-ending meetings, Patrick could only fill his mind with Amelia's words and smile.

After thinking for a long while, he found that his heart was tingling, and he really wanted to see her as soon as possible.

But time seemed to be set against him on purpose. The faster the time he wished to fly, the longer the day.

At noon, he received a call of comfort from her. He obviously had a lot to say. But when the words came to the tip of his tongue, all he let out was "I am fine."

He subconsciously thought to himself that he did not want to distract her while she was busy. He did not want her to worry about his body, even though he missed her.

"Well, I came as soon as I got off work." Looking back at him, Amelia also smiled. "Thank you for asking the doctor to send me the car key this morning. It's timely."

The embarrassed doctor saw that someone had finally mentioned him. He could not help but cheered from the bottom of his heart and said, "Ms. Ramsay, it's just a lift of a finger. The both of you can carry on. I'll take my leave."

The only difference between them was Patrick's ignorance, and Amelia said gently, "Okay, doctor."

After the doctor closed the door, Amelia took the takeout to the bedside table.

She looked down and saw a pile of newspapers on the bedside table. She could not help asking, "Were these... requested by you to be brought over by the doctor for you to past time?"

Patrick did not care much and said, "No, the doctor was meddlesome. He's the one who asked his student to send it."

Amelia said jokingly, "It seems that they noticed that you are lonely too."

However, what she said was right.

Patrick's face reddened, and he said gruffly, "It's rare that I don't need to work. I'm so free."

"It was clearly lonely."

Amelia thought in her heart, but she said, "Since you don't like to read the newspaper, then I'll put all the food boxes of Frantzen Restaurant on it? You don't have any problem with that, do you?"

Patrick's handsome face did not seem to care at all. "Whatever."

"Why should I read the newspaper? It's enough to look at you," he thought.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Amelia taking out the dishes one by one from the environmentally friendly food bag. Patrick later asked, "Wait, did you just say...you went to Frantzen Restaurant?"

Amelia answered while continuing what she was doing, "Yes. Because their food is delicious."

Patrick stared at the exclusive marks on the food boxes and asked, "There have always been a lot of people waiting in line at Frantzen, and it's far from Apex. How did you manage to get their food and bring it here so quickly?"

Patrick put down his cutlery and looked quizzical. "If none of these were true, then tell me, why did you treat me with soy milk and pastries in the morning? Why did you also treat me with such a scrumptious meal tonight? I'm afraid that it wouldn't cost less than two to three thousand dollars for this meal,

right?"

Amelia did not know what to say, but she immediately said discontentedly, "How could you say that? It sounded like I'm very stingy."

Patrick said in a calm tone, "You are indeed not generous enough in an economic sense."

Amelia heaved a sigh of relief and said angrily, "Patrick, do you know there is a saying that 'everyone can be blinded by gifts'? Even such delicious food can't even shut you up!"

Patrick put down the lunch box in his hand and said, "Then I won't eat it."

Amelia stared at him and said, "You!"

Patrick said in a determined tone, "Tell me, what on earth is the reason for today's dinner?"

Amelia gritted her teeth. She admitted that she filled this meal with her ingratiation to Patrick.

However, too much water drowned the miller. Such an approach had aroused Patrick's wariness.

"Fine, since he noticed it, I'll just say it!" Amelia thought to herself.

"Well, after I serve you to the meal and clean up, I will need to leave the hospital for a while, just a while..."

Patrick glimpsed at her from the corner of his eye, with sharpness and irony in his eyes.

He said coolly, "I knew it. How could you spend so much money on me for no reason? It turns out that you want to slip away."
