Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1091

Amelia remembered that when she went to the airport in the new year to send Milton off, she had already noticed Maryanne wearing gloves.

At that time, she thought that Maryanne wore gloves because of fear of the cold. But it seemed that was not the case.

Under Milton's headache, Amelia's skeptical gaze, and Sierra's caring gaze, Maryanne put her hands on the table and said, "Aunt Sierra, I think you misunderstood. This is my new pair of gloves. I can't hide anything I like, just like how I like Milton. I can't help but wanting to let everyone knew. It's the same for this pair of gloves. I just want to show off in front of everyone. Aunt Sierra, tell me honestly, do you think it's beautiful?"

When Milton heard this, he immediately gasped in admiration.

It was such a simple matter. Why was he thinking about it in such a complicated way?

What was women's favorite topic?

Except for gossiping, it was nothing more than skincare, jewelry, and clothing!

And the contents were suitable for all ages!

As long as they were two women, they could always have a few words together.

Sure enough, Sierra believed what Maryanne said, and she even praised, "Yes, they look good!"

Maryanne said with a smile, "I've also bought it for you."

"Really?" Sierra's eyes widened in surprise.

Maryanne answered meekly, "Yes. But I've left the new gloves at the hotel near the airport. I'll bring them to you tomorrow."

Sierra praised no matter Maryanne was telling the truth or not, "Maryanne, you're so considerate."

Amelia pampered herself and drank half a glass of red wine because she was happy today. It was the reunion with her old friend.

But it was only limited to this.

When Milton tried to add more wine for her, she shook her head slightly and said, "I'm full. I can't drink anymore. I need to drive."

Just as she finished speaking, Maryanne opened her mouth and asked, "Ms. Ramsay, are you leaving?"

Milton's face turned dark upon hearing what Maryanne said.

How could Maryanne say anything like that? He was the owner, yet he did not say anything. Why did she need to talk so much?

Amelia continued Maryanne's words and said, "Yes, it's almost 10 o'clock. If I'm not back, my husband will be worried."

Hearing that, Maryanne opened her mouth wide in exaggeration and said, "Wow, Ms. Ramsay and Mr. Patrick are so sweet. You can't even be separated for a while. You're almost the same as Milton and me!"

Amelia gave a perfunctory "Hmm." and then said, "Then I'll go back first. You guys should rest early."

Before Milton and his mother could say anything, Maryanne interrupted, "Don't worry, Ms. Ramsay. We'll rest early! I've been on the plane these two days, and I'm very tired. I just want to go to Milton's room later and let him accompany me to sleep."

"Maryanne, you..." Sierra blushed when she heard this. She thought to herself, "How could Maryanne said it out loud!"

Maryanne and Milton were still unmarried. Even if they were married, it was not appropriate for them to talk about this before their guests.

Noticing that Sierra was about to speak, Maryanne stuck out her tongue playfully and said apologetically, "Aunt Sierra, I seem to have scared you. Because I've been abroad for a long time, so I'm a bit passionate... Oh no, I'm just a little enthusiastic. Please don't take it to heart."

Milton said, "This is Patrick's car."

Almost at the same time, Amelia and Milton gave a similar answer.

Maryanne looked at them and chuckled. "You guys really get along well with each other. If I was an outsider, I might've thought that both of you are a couple."

Milton narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Maryanne, have you said enough?"

"Milton! Calm down!" Maryanne did not open her mouth, but Amelia was the one who spoke. She dissuaded Milton and Maryanne from arguing with each other.

"Amelia..." Milton looked at her, a deep apology appearing in his eyes.

"It's okay. I'm going back." Amelia gave Milton a reassuring smile. She unlocked her car, opened the door, sat in, and left.

As soon as Amelia left, Milton immediately looked at Maryanne with a serious face.

Even though he was staring at her, a nonchalant smile was plastered on her face. She looked like a dead mouse that feels no cold.

A moment later, Milton asked Maryanne depressingly, "Don't you know that is Patrick's car?"

Maryanne was stunned for a moment before moving her beautiful eyes away and replied, "I don't know!"

"How could you not know?" Milton reprimanded her expressionlessly. "You've been pestering Patrick for so long back then. I'm afraid you've even figured out the background of his ancestors, not to mention this Lamborghini that's been following him in and out!"

Maryanne's eyes darkened. Under the pressure of Milton, she turned around and admitted, "Yes! To chase after Patrick, I've investigated his background, including the car that Amelia drove away just now!"
