If Brittany was after the money, she would have seized the opportunity to ride Amelia's coattails so as to get a share of the spoils in the future. But she was screaming at Amelia instead!

"Amelia, don't pretend to be ignorant!" Brittany glared at her angrily. "You obviously have that one billion dollars, why didn't you take it out earlier? You knew that the one billion dollars can help Daniel tide over!"

Amelia finally understood, "I haven't get to know your intention earlier. It turns out that it's just because of this..."

Brittany tightened her grip on the agreement. "What do you mean by 'just because of this'? It's truly unbelievable that you would say such words in such an indifferent tone!"

"Well, why should I care?" Amelia was amused by her words.

Seeing Amelia not feeling any psychological burden at all, the anger in Brittany's heart continued to rise. "Daniel is still suffering in prison, yet you're holding onto this one billion dollars to peacefully be the director of the Apex Construction Corporation. You're just a hypocritical wicked woman!"

"You can say whatever you want. Return the agreement to me first." Amelia was worried that Brittany would go crazy and destroy the agreement in her hand, so she said quickly.

But Brittany held onto the agreement more forcefully, "When everyone was singing praises for you for bearing the burden, I was the only one who saw through your true colors! Amelia, you clearly had the ability to save him!"

"How many times are you going to repeat the words 'I can save him'?" Amelia also got angry. "Daniel's imprisonment was his own fault! He may even lose his life to atone for his crimes that made the workers and their families to suffer. His imprisonment was truly no big deal!"

Seeing that Brittany would oppose her no matter what she said, Amelia got completely helpless. "Aunt Alice told me that you were fine when you were studying in the South City. Why did you become crazy again when you returned to Northville?"
