Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1268

At Silver Throne, in the VIP lounge, on the long sofa.

Amelia's lips had always been a little pale. At first glance, one would feel that she had a very dull complexion. This was why Amelia always liked to apply some red lipstick on them.

Patrick glanced at Amelia's lips that he had just pecked, his pupils became darker. He asked in a low voice, "Now I'm sure that you're clear on what our relationship is?"

Amelia gasped slightly and stubbornly suppressed her shyness. She looked at him coldly and answered, "I know, it's physical exchange."

Patrick's eyebrows furrowed.

Upon seeing this, a mocking smile appeared on Amelia's tiny blushing face. "I'm here to relieve you of your physiological loneliness while you, in exchange, solve all the troubles that I'm facing.

"Yes, you're absolutely right!" Patrick's gaze became fiercer as if he was echoing her or reminding himself that there was indeed nothing else between them.

"That's good, then." Amelia smiled as if she was relieved, deliberately ignoring the pain in her heart.

From the way Patrick looked at her, Amelia could see that he really hated her. She thought that they would have nothing to do with each other after divorce, but destiny always entangled them together, causing a mutual form of torture.

No...

That was what she thought. In fact, Patrick was enjoying this.

Torturing her for fun?

If Patrick could read her mind at this time, he would probably laugh out loud.

After the divorce, his feelings for Amelia had always been complicated. On one hand, he hated how she went lengths to cast him aside;

On the other hand, he could not help himself in wanting to defend her upon seeing her being bullied and wronged.

Whenever he became impulsive that eventually affected his rationality, Patrick would not be able to be at peace. As long as he could not find a balance, the both of them would never be able to live in harmony...

Amelia gazed at his brows and duly informed, "Let's get up, Miss. Elliott must've been tired of

waiting by now."

Patrick replied, his magnetic voice was mixed with a tinge of anger. "The person you're begging now is me, and not her." While thinking, "So, don't be so quick as to push him towards Kayla!"

Amelia did not know what he was angry about so she reminded Patrick again, "Miss Elliott is my guest, and she has a close relationship with you. If we keep giving her a cold shoulder, it may be something Mr. Patrick can solve with a smile. As for me, I may potentially offend the daughter of the mayor, and I can't afford to get into another kind of trouble before settling Mr. Quade's law suit first."

Patrick listened to her and pondered for a moment before agreeing, "You're right."

Amelia breathed out a sigh of relief, she sounded, "In that case, we..."

But before she could finish talking, Patrick interrupted her, "But what if I'd like to see you offend someone?"

Silence fell.

Even so, Patrick still let go of her as she wished.

Amelia quickly sat up and tidied up her disheveled clothes...

After buttoning up as fast as she instinctively could, Amelia was about to get off the sofa when Patrick suddenly reached out and pushed her back. Just as she thought that he was trying to do what he usually did, Patrick told her, "You buttoned it wrongly."

Amelia could not help but be taken aback when he heard Patrick's comment.

me and left."

Unperturbed, Patrick replied calmly, "Of course not. It's just that President Ramsay had been talking to her family for quite a while."

Amelia nodded and agreed with Patrick while playing along, "I'm so sorry to keep you waiting, Miss. Elliott. Something urgent happened at home, but I've already taken care of it."

"I see. All right then, I understand. But the both of you returned at the right time. All the dishes have been served. Please sit and have a taste!"

"Sure..." Under Kayla's understanding gaze, Amelia found that she was far less composed as compared to Patrick.

She felt a little guilty and she closed her eyes and pushed back the hair hanging by her cheek with her hand which happened to reveal the earlobe that Patrick had bitten...

The teeth marks had faded, leaving only a subtle pinkish mark. However, Amelia's earlobes were far too fair. Under the light of the chandelier hanging over their heads, her pink-coloured ear lobe instantly appeared before Patrick and Kayla's eyes.

Patrick seemed to think of something. His eyes dimmed as his Adam's apple bobbed slightly.

Upon noticing Kayla's thoughtful eyes fixated on herself, Amelia uneasily asked, "Miss. Elliott, is there something on my face?"

Kayla smiled: "I just suddenly feel that President Ramsay is very feminine, and you looks like you had just been stimulated."

Amelia's discomfort was displayed even more on her face as she replied with a hollow laugh, "Oh, is it?"

Patrick did not think much of it because he was not interested in Kayla after all. All he did was use her to upset Amelia.

However, he did not expect that Amelia and Kayla will get along well during dinner. He did not know how to play tricks between women. Patrick suddenly felt a little nervous. Perhaps in Amelia's heart, he was already dispensable.
