Patrick turned around to take a look. After he saw that the bathroom door was shut, he looked sideways at Owen and said, "Got it. Let's go to your room."
"Okay." Owen nodded in agreement.
After they left the room, Owen complained, "About your waist injury, you don't have to hide it from Amelia actually. If she knows what you did for her, she may be so moved that she would remarry you..."
Patrick laughed and interrupted Owen's reverie.
"Didn't you also act as if nothing had happened in front of Eve every time you came back with injuries?"
Owen was taken aback.
Patrick continued, "Besides, I didn't hide the fact that my waist injury hasn't been healed. I just don't want her to know that I need an injection on my waist in order to stand up, and I hate to see her shed tears for such trivial things."
"Fine. Since you care for her, then don't blame her if you got nothing in return. Don't come to me afterwards to complain that she won't let you touch her either!" Owen sounded as if saying Patrick had asked for it.
Patrick gave Owen a slide glance and said proudly, "Who says that she doesn't care about me? She's taken the initiative to help me change the bandages around my waist every night after my shower."
Owen was speechless. Did Patrick easily get satisfied just because Amelia changed his bandage?
With the happy smile on Patrick's face, Owen could not help but rolled his eyes. Patrick seemed to have been completely obsessed.
As they walked while talking, they soon arrived at Owen's room.
Before they entered the room, Patrick still insisted in asking, "By the way, about the matter I told you at the door just now..."
"What matter?" Owen played dumb.
Patrick did not keep him guessing and said directly, "I wanna go out."
Owen looked around and smiled at him while saying, "Haven't you come out already? No one was stopping you."
In the face of Owen's word play, Patrick was not angry. Instead, he smiled and said, "I mean to leave
this club when I say 'go out'."
Owen seemed a little puzzled. "It seems that we've understood it differently before. I thought that you just wanted to walk around in this club. Since you meant to go outside of the club, I have to say that it's not the time yet."
After Patrick listened to Owen's words, he smiled. "Was the wordplay interesting, Owen?"
Owen replied innocently, "As I said, I'm not teasing you. It's just that we've understood it differently. The club is quite interesting, actually. Apart from sexual activities and gamble, I can satisfy whatever you wish to play with."
"Nah." Patrick said indifferently and turned to leave.
Owen had curled his lips into a smug smile, but it froze when he saw Patrick turn around. "Patrick, Where are you going? You haven't gotten the injection yet!"
Without turning his head, Patrick replied, "I don't need it now."
Owen's eyes widened. "Why? Do you wish to stay in bed and suffer in pain until you die?"
Patrick's voice became lower as he walked further away, Yup.
Owen immediately felt anxious so he chased after
him while shouting. "You br*t, stop right there!"
As Patrick heard the footsteps that came from behind, he walked forward in a leisure pace.
It was not until his arm was pulled hard that he stopped and slowly looked back at Owen whose face was ashen.
Owen grabbed his arm and asked fiercely, "What's wrong with you?"
Patrick said softly, "My intention of getting the injection is to accompany Mrs. Hopper to go out for a trip. Now that you've stopped me from going out of this club, what's the point of the injection? I don't see the need now..."
The veins on Owen's forehead bulged after hearing his words.
The implication of Patrick's words was obvious, he would only get the injection if he was allowed to go out.
The unspoken line was that Owen should think about it by himself. Was it better to trap him in the club and let him bear the torture of his waist pain, or to help him temporarily relieve the pain and enjoy the travel with his wife!
This b*stard!
Owen was so angry that he gritted his teeth. He suddenly thought if he should go hard in suppressing Patrick. But, he would be heartbroken if Patrick were to hurt his waist again during his fierce resistance.
Frustrated, Owen scratched his head. He then focuses on Patrick's soft spot instead and tried to persuade him. "Didn't you hate to see Amelia cry over you being bedridden? Why did you change your mind?"
Richard had originally planned to send them under Patrick's name, but had not informed Patrick in advance which made him embarrass himself as soon as he entered the room. As Patrick thought about it, he was so angry that he wanted to immediately leave to teach Richard a lesson.
"Sorry, I haven't considered about such things for you in advance." He said in a low voice, being overwhelmed with depression.
Amelia's bright eyes were full of understanding. "It doesn't matter. I know you have never paid attention to these trivial things."
Patrick stared at her big eyes and said word by word, "Everything about you means a lot to me which I would keep in mind forever."
Amelia was a little flustered by his serious attitude. She did not mean to blame him at all. He used to be arrogant, but why was he being so earnest at the moment?
After Amelia thought for a while, she said with a smile, "Well, you may have been ignorant, but I've forgiven you this time. Should you not blame yourself already?"
Her comfort had not worked in easing his mood. Patrick looked down at the dressing table which was full of skincare products with a heavy gaze. "It was such a simple thing that could have made you happy, yet I..."
Before Patrick could finish his words, his thin lips were covered by Amelia's hand.
"I'm happy because David told me that these were sent by you. If David had told me the truth, I wouldn't be that happy instead." Should he have understood after she put it that way?
Patrick's gloomy face was immediately covered with joy after listening to her explanation.
Without saying a word, he lowered his head and kissed Amelia's lips. He did it very gently but passionately which made Amelia's face flush, and her neck slightly shrunk into her collar while her thin jawline was shown clearly,
While kissing, Patrick was full of emotions that he could not help pulling Amelia's clothes.
Amelia quickly stopped him in a soft voice. "No... I've just changed my clothes..."
Patrick listened to her words and paused for a moment. Then he lifted her chin and asked in a hoarse voice, "Why did you change your clothes?"
Amelia's big eyes were full of shyness. After calming down, she said, "I wanna go out..."
"Where to?" Patrick asked.
"I don't know," Amelia replied honestly.
"How could you go without knowing the place?" Patrick laughed at her.
"Didn't I have you with me?" Amelia felt that it was ambiguous as soon as she said it so she changed her words. "You've said to take me out for a walk and to create a wonderful memory. But, if you find it troublesome, I'll go by myself."
