Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1442

So, it was reasonable for Amelia to give Sawyer a bad look when she saw him as he was the main culprit of her sleepless night.

All of a sudden, Amelia heard marching footsteps from behind her.

She turned back and found that it was the man in black she was familiar with. He was holding a set of clothes with his arms bent, which she knew was unusually expensive without unwrapping it.

"Mr. Quartley."

After greeting Sawyer, the man in black turned to Amelia. "Ms. Amelia, it's been an hour. So, I brought you some new clothes. This is Chanel's summer new edition. I hope you like it."

"Sawyer, can you make him stop sending clothes?" Amelia asked to Sawyer in a sour mood.

Sawyer replied in confusion, "Ms. Amelia, why? You should be thanking me since I've satisfied your needs."

Amelia expressed her anger. "What should I thank you for? For letting your subordinate harass me all night?"

Sawyer raised the corners of his lips, "But, my subordinate reported to me that you needed to change each hour, isn't that right?"

Amelia pressed her veins that throbbed on her forehead. "I was only making an analogy. If I told you to jump off a building, would you do so? But if you happen to jump, then I have nothing to say about that."

Sawyer responded with ease, "Ms. Amelia, you're sharp-tongued, but don't forget that we're in a villa. Jumping from such height would not kill."

Amelia fell speechless for a moment before she asked helplessly, "Then I'll take back what I said. Are you satisfied now?"

"Ms. Amelia, are you making trouble out of nothing?"

Amelia felt the urge of hitting Sawyer when she heard him speaking that way.

As Amelia clenched her fists, she dragged the set of clothes out of the man's hands, threw it into Sawyer's arms and said, "Since you think that I'm being unreasonable, take this dress as compensation and forget about this. Act as if I've never said that, okay?"

"Are you using my gift to you as compensation back to me?" Sawyer's eyes narrowed as if he had heard something incredulous.

"Since you've given them to me, they're mine!" Amelia then continued indifferently,

"If you don't like it, just throw them away."

"No way!" When Sawyer looked at the guard, the man in black hurriedly walked to Sawyer's back and reported in a small voice, "Mr. Quartley, the dress is rented. I'll have to pay ten times the price if it's lost!"

The man thought that he would get Sawyer's understanding, but Sawyer's expression only turned cold. "It's rented?"

As the man in black watched the dress as it got deformed by Sawyer bunching it, the man exclaimed desperately, "Mr. Quartley, please calm down! I can explain! I'm just trying to save you some money. Giving her a luxurious dress each hour is equivalent to giving her thousands of dollars each hour. You may not mind if she stays here for weeks, but I can't bear to see it..."

"So, you came up with such a lame idea? Do you think I can't afford it? You even went to rent it!"

Sawyer did not control his volume when he asked.

When Amelia heard the word 'rent', Amelia could not help but burst into laughter .

Her joy was evident from the corner of her eyes, but it made Sawyer's expression even more terrifying as he badly wanted to get rid of his subordinate who had put shame on him!

When Amelia noticed the change in Sawyer's expression, she instantly felt as if her anger was vented.

"Well, do I owe you anything?"

"When Sawyer was standing behind me yesterday, why didn't you remind me? Didn't you claim to have no feelings for him? Why would you still use such trick out of jealousy!"

In the face of Sissi's eager questionings, Amelia only answered faintly, "So, you're troubled by this. It's simple, actually. It was Sawyer who didn't want me to tell you."

Sissi snorted. "Do you think I'll be fooled by such your trick to sow discord?"

"I'm telling the truth. When I saw Sawyer behind you, I wanted to remind you. But he shook his head at me, which indicated that he wanted to hear your true words. To be honest, I’ve always felt that Sawyer hasn't

fully trusted your sincerity."

Amelia reckoned that she did not have any obligation to cover up for Sawyer. So, it would be best if Sissi got pissed and went to argue with him. Then, Amelia could enjoy the show watching the two fight with each other.

'To be honest, I've always felt that Sawyer hasn't fully trusted your sincerity.'

After a moment of apprehension, Sissi pretended she was not bothered with a sneer. "Amelia, no one knows better than me about how Sawyer treats me. So, your evil means will only bring shame upon yourself!"

Amelia shrugged. "It's up to you if you want to believe me or not."

"Stop!" When Amelia was about to leave, Sissi cried out with dissatisfaction, "Before you make yourself clear, you're not allowed to go anywhere!"

Amelia folded her arms around her chest and gave Sissi a slide glance. "Who are you to order me around?"
