Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1454

"How are you sure that what you want is what's under my feet?"

Sawyer's expression twisted slightly as he looked back at the briefcase with a wandering gaze.

After a moment of pause, Sawyer waved his hand and ordered the security guard to come over. He said gloomily, "Go and invite Ms.

Amelia down."

"Yes sir!"

Just as the guard was about to act, Sawyer suddenly said, "Hold on."

"Yes?" The security guard stopped in his tracks.

Sawyer turned back to look at Patrick. "I almost forgot. There's another person whom you must've been missing for a long time. Why don't I invite her down along with Ms. Amelia to catch up with you?"

Patrick saw the pride and provocation in Sawyer's eyes, and Patrick could not help himself but cuss at Sawyer for being childish deep down.

Patrick had let go of Sissi since long ago. Not only that, from the recording that Richard brought back, Patrick realized that Sissi had turned into someone he did not know at all. She had become paranoid, jealous, and even... vicious.

But, why he did not notice these problems before?

Wayne had jokingly said that in the past, Patrick was a player in the game. As time went on, he became a spectator that could overlook the situation.

Patrick was caught off his guard when he heard Wayne. But thinking it over again, Patrick found that the logic was quite reasonable.

Since Patrick was silent for a long time, Sawyer reminded, "Mr. Patrick, what do you think about that?"

Patrick came to his senses and answered, "Whatever, I don't care." His tone was as calm as the cup of water placed in front of him.

Sawyer smiled. Then, he turned back around and asked the guard to invite the 'red and white roses' downstairs.

Upstairs.

"Please hurry up! Sir wants to see you!"

The guard acted quickly. After calling Amelia out from her room, he made a turn and knocked on another door.

The door was opened after a brief moment, revealing Sissi's charming but drowsy face. She was taking a nap, so of course, she looked sleepy,

"What is it?" she asked.

"Ms. Roberts, sir has invited you to head downstairs to meet with an old friend." the security guard spoke politely.

An old friend?

Sissi, who was flummoxed noticed that Amelia was standing beside the guard, frequently searching downstairs as if she was looking at an important matter or person.

At this point, Sissi had more or less guessed what this was about. "Don't tell me you're talking about Patrick Hopper?"

"Exactly," the security guard replied.

"Is it actually him?" Sissi could not control herself and exclaim softly.

Her behaviour attracted strange looks from both Amelia and the security guard. Patrick was not here to pick her up, so why was she so excited?

After the slight blunder, Sissi resumed her normal state and said, "Um, wait here for a moment, I'll... go get changed!"

With that, Sissi closed the door with a slam, regardless of whether the guard agreed or not.

As for Amelia, Sissi did not feel the need to ask for her permission.

The guard stared at the door, speechless. He could not figure out why Sissi was suddenly so dainty and coquettish.

Who would have thought that when presented with Amelia and Sissi at the same time, Patrick would rush towards Amelia without any hint of hesitation?

Whether it was from Sawyer or Sissi's perspective, they would find that Patrick did not bother to glance at Sissi, not even a sneaky glimpse at her!

Sissi was standing next to Amelia. So, when

Sissi saw Patrick rushing towards them, she thought he was coming for her. She even began to imagine what expression Patrick would have on his face. Did he miss her? Was he guilty? Or was he remorseful?

After all, she was found being placed under house arrest by Howard when Patrick did not protect her well enough. To see him, Sissi had even hurt her forehead. There was good reason for Patrick to feel guilty!

Furthermore, she was brought to the Streams Villa by Sawyer. Regardless of whether Patrick was aware of this, she did not believe that there was not the slightest bit of regret when he saw her!

Sissi had dallied in the room for a while before coming down on purpose. On one hand, she wanted to dress herself up carefully. On the other hand, she wanted to wear down Patrick's temperament to let him know that she was not someone he could easily meet as he wished.

And everything she had prepared seemed to have been completely unnecessary.

Among them, Sawyer was the only one who had no place in their affair.

Sawyer's gaze swept across the scene of Patrick and Amelia embracing each other before finally settling on Sissi.

He knew that this was the best time for him to observe Sissi. If Sissi could remain indifferent, either she was great at acting, or she truly did not love Patrick anymore.

And Sissi turned out to be no actress. When she saw Patrick, her thoughts were exposed to display on her face.

Sawyer was familiar with this scene.

As long as Patrick was there, the first man Sissi had her eyes for would always be him.

What about Sawyer? What was his place in her heart?

Sawyer closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them again, it was the same sense of calmness as he had felt before.
