"How cunning can Director Ramsay be that she could persuade someone as unyielding as Kaiden Wright."
"According to the company's current circumstances, we wouldn't have been able to afford such a talent. Yet, he's here. I also heard that Kaiden often pays visits to Director Ramsay's office."
"Do you think... that Director Ramsay may be in an affair with Sawyer Quartley and Kaiden Wright? Why else would they contribute so much to our

It seemed that the course of events had taken a peculiar turn after the involvement of certain figures.
Jonathan's painstaking efforts in establishing a reputable image for Amelia was, thus corrupted to a negative image in a second.
Jonathan trembled with anger for he knew that this was not the truth. He had known Amelia for so long, so how could he not know what kind of person she was?
Amelia was attacked by the victims' families, rejected by investors and not to mention the time when Mr. Quade pinned her onto the table.
It was as if Jonathan could feel Amelia's hurt and struggle. So, when he was witnessing the slander about her, he was riled up.
"Enough! Are you lot done yet?" Jonathan roared, unable to hold back his anger, "Since all of you have no faith in Director Ramsay and her capability to lead the company, just resign and leave!"
After Jonathan's rebuke, everyone fell silent.
However, Kaleb and his employees who were responsible for stirring up trouble were well-prepared. So, they were not the least intimidated by what Jonathan thundered. On the contrary, they were glad to hear such an irrational statement from him.
The employee that was the first to demean Amelia's leadership then pointed at Jonathan and expressed, "Mr. Tucker, I've been with the company quite long too. When the president first established Apex Construction Corporation, I was there to help him. But now, you want to drive me out of the company just because I expressed a sliver of my opinion? Haha... where has Apex's conscience disappeared to?"
"Right. What position are you in to drive us away?"
"So, are you saying that anyone who has a contrasting opinion towards Director Ramsay should pack up and get out?"
"I think you're the one who should leave. Amelia's lapdog!"
"What?" Amelia and Jonathan's supporters could not stay silent at that. Unable to take it anymore, they started scolding each other. "Without Director Ramsay and Mr. Tucker, will the company be as successful as it is today? Who are you bunch to criticize them?"
"That's right! All of you are enjoying what Director Ramsay and Mr. Tucker achieved! How can you spew nonsense about them!"
"Exactly! Anyone who sits here and enjoys the fruits of their labour has no right to negotiate!"
The scene was a complete mess as everyone launched verbal attacks on one another. Jonathan even almost climbed onto the office table and joined in the fight!
When Audrey saw this, she used all of her strength to drag Jonathan to a corner and consoled him, "Mr. Tucker, calm down!"
Jonathan shook off Audrey's grip and combed through his ruffed-up hair. He then retorted in a rough voice, "Why are you stopping me? Those b*stards should be taught a lesson!"
Audrey then frantically pulled Jonathan back again and tried to persuade him nicely, "Mr. Tucker, this is a corporation! Not a syndicate! Are you trying to solve conflicts with unprofessional^?"
Jonathan clenched his fists and answered, "Of course, that's what I planned to do!"
The faces of Kaleb and his supporters all turned pale. They knew that Jonathan was mocking them for being money-minded.
Jonathan then continued, "Right now, please put the rumours aside and discuss facts that we know for sure."
"What facts?"
Jonathan added, "Director Ramsay was the acting director that we jointly elected, and the shares she holds in the company are sufficient to support her role when she took over the position. Even if everyone removes her due to her family background, she still has the right to interfere with the company's decision- making with the shares she holds."
"Also, Director Ramsay scored many contracts, so the definite details of the collaborations are clear to only her. The partners also need her to contact them. After we remove her from her position, do we intend to keep her around to help us out with these or render her a mere shareholder?"
Someone feigned smartness and suggested, "Why not we let her help the company with that first, then make her leave?"
Jonathan looked at the employee and smiled faintly. "What you meant is that we should treat Director Ramsay as disposable labour? Who was it again that mentioned that this company's conscience had gone down the drain?"
The man was speechless.
"Ahem!" Kaleb chimed in a reasonable tone, "The Ramsay family has raised her for so many years. Is it a lot to ask from her to contribute just a little to the company?"
Jonathan looked at Kaleb from afar and said, "At the mention of Director Ramsay's family background, you refused to acknowledge that she's a member of the Ramsay family. But, when you talk about sacrificing for the company, you admit that she's a part of the Ramsay family. Why don't you give us a definite answer and tell us whether or not she's a member of the Ramsay family?"
Kaleb gritted his teeth. Jonathan, this old bast*rd, had seized the opportunity to drag him down. How infuriating!
When Jonathan and Kaleb were glaring at each other, a soft voice suddenly sounded in the conference hall where only the higher-ups had the right to speak. "I think what Uncle Kaleb meant was that my sister who's so beautiful and kind, will surely continue to serve the company because of the help my family provided her even if she's been removed from the position."
