Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1488

It was as if Sawyer did not notice the hidden malice displayed on Sissi's face, so he asked her playfully, "Is it so bad?"

Sissi immediately explained the situation to him in a delicate voice, "Sawyer, I was just concerned for you."

"There's no need to explain, I just like to see my teacher's murderous look. You really are a perfect match for me." After Sawyer finished speaking, he lowered his head and gave Sissi a kiss.

The next day, Land of Fragrance.

When Patrick woke up, he realized that the space next to him was empty.

He suddenly sprung up from the bed. If he did not notice that Amelia's phone was still placed on the bedside table, he would have started to suspect that last night with Amelia was just a dream.

However...

Patrick glanced at the clock and found that it was only seven o'clock. He wondered why Amy got up so early.

Worriedly, he slipped into his sandals and headed into the bathroom to wash up. Patrick did not even change out of his nightwear and went downstairs to search for Amelia.

There was no one in the living room, so he went to the kitchen to look for her. But there was no one in the kitchen as well, causing him to go to other rooms in search for her. However, Amelia was still not in sight.

After a moment of confusion, Patrick strode towards the door. Since her phone was not with her, Amelia probably did not stray too far. Maybe she was just wandering around the compound and he would always find her.

The door opened and Patrick suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Amelia's beautiful raven hair was tied loosely behind her back. A few wispy strands fell on the cape of her neck, swaying together along with her every movement. Patrick was enchanted.

It turned out that Amelia was only watering the plants in their small garden.

After releasing the uneasiness in his heart, Patrick suddenly became hostile. He wanted to punish her for leaving him alone and for making him look everywhere like a madman.

"Amy!" Amelia heard Patrick calling her as he quickly approached her from behind.

Amelia turned around subconsciously and forgot to remove the water pipe in her hand, causing a stream of water to drench Patrick's chest.

With a light yell, Amelia quickly flung the water pipe behind her and bashfully tried to dry the wet spot on Patrick's chest.

"It's okay." Patrick curled his lips slightly and took off his shirt in the blink of an eye.

"You..." Amelia blurted anxiously, "The morning breeze is strong, please go back and put something on!"

"I'm not in a hurry." Patrick grabbed the water pipe behind her and firmly stated, "I'll accompany you."

"No, go inside and change your clothes!" If Patrick were to catch a cold because of her, she would feel extremely guilty!

Nevertheless, Patrick insisted. "Amy, pass me the water pipe please."

Amelia could not help but let go.

At this moment, Patrick's other hand suddenly wrapped itself around her waist. With a spin, she fell backward towards him.

Amelia was standing with her back towards him. One of his hands was still wrapped around her waist while the other was holding a water pipe. His bare chest pressed against her back, and she could feel the shape of his abdominal muscles through her thin layer of nightwear.

Amelia became a little flustered. "Patrick, what are you doing?"

"We must work together. Haven't you heard of the saying that if man and women work together, it won't be tiring?"

Patrick lowered his head to pry open Amelia's curled- up fingers and guided them to hold the pipe in his hand.

Then, he skillfully inserted his fingers into the gaps between Amelia's fingers so that they both held the pipe tightly together.

But it seemed that that was not enough for Patrick. He placed his chin on her shoulder and stared into her eyes, beckoning, "Amy, move quicker."

"Amy..." Patrick did not seem to want to move.

"I really fine!" Amelia reassured him again.

"But why do I think that you're not?" Patrick prodded with concern.

Amelia mentioned to him that she did not want to be alone the previous night, yet she kept driving him away at this moment. Perhaps, was it because she wanted to take this opportunity to hurt herself?

She understood the hint from Patrick's expression. "Don't worry Patrick, I'm not as fragile as my mom.

Better a bad life than a good death, right?"

As he heard this, Patrick became unhappy "Amy, you can't say such things!"

Amelia buried her head. "I'm sorry."

Patrick restrained his anger and nagged gently, "Just let me stay with you. I'm really worried about you being alone."

As soon as he finished speaking, his phone on the table rang all of a sudden. He muttered a "wait" to Amelia, then he answered the call.

At first, Patrick's expression was quite relaxed, but the more he listened, the angrier his face became. In the end, he was furious, "How did all of you do it? How could you make such a big mistake!"

On the other end of the line, Patrick's employee hurriedly explained the situation to him, yet received more scolding from Patrick, "Do you think your apology is useful now? Gather all the information on the planning, implementation, and execution for me this instant. I will..."

Patrick had wanted add on that he will be there at once, but after much thought, what about Amy then?

He immediately kept quiet and glanced at her.

From his words, Amelia knew that Roxxon must have something urgent that Patrick has to personally deal with. She could not help but encourage, "Please go."
