Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1546

After Patrick brought the meat back to the Kaitos and came back, Amelia saw that he had a lot of tools in his hands, including a rifle, a bow, a dagger, two milk buckets, and some things she could not name.

"Mr. Hopper, why did you bring these back?"

"Why? I want you and Nora to have fun at the farm." Patrick put the milk buckets beside Amelia's feet and said, "One for you and one for Nora."

"Do we really have to milk the cows?" Amelia asked while staring at the milk buckets beside her feet.

"Yeah, I'll go hunting too." Patrick said.

"But, this is Kaitos farm. Won't he be unhappy if you shoot his livestock?" Nora asked with concern.

Patrick gave a nonchalant smile. "If I agree to him that his farm will be Roxxon's tomorrow, do you think he'll mind?"

"All right. You're rich so you're the boss." Amelia and Nora thought to themselves speechlessly.

The three then carried the tools and walked to the farm while discussing what to eat for lunch.

"I remember that there's beef, mutton, and..."

Before Amelia finished counting what was in the refrigerator, she heard Patrick snickering and said, "Amy, what's the fun in always eating ready-made food? It'll only be fun that we do it ourselves."

Amelia was stunned. "Uh, do you know how to butcher a cow?"

"I can't butcher a cow, but I can slaughter a chicken." Patrick replied. Then, he suddenly took the rifle off his body, aimed and fired.

In an instant, a hen that was pecking at seeds flew into the air and fell, its feather fuzzed.

"That's... amazing!" Amelia felt that she could not get enough of looking at Patrick in action.

Just like this, all the livestock within a radius of ten miles from them went into hiding, leaving Patrick unable to find another target.

"You scared them all away," Amelia said.

"Yeah." Patrick bent down and picked up the poor hen. Then, he turned around and put it into the milk bucket Amelia was carrying.

Just as Amelia was about to ask what should she do next, Patrick changed his tools into a bow and arrow. "They won't get frightened if I use this."

Amelia looked at him sceptically until Patrick shot

a duck. She immediately looked at him with a sense of admiration and worship.

Patrick was so cool when he pulled the bow and took the shot that Amelia almost rushed up to kiss him as Ashley did.

Since there was no big stir this time, the rest of the animals did not react much and continued what they were doing. After all, they were raised by humans, so their vigilance against humans was limited.

Then, Patrick aimed another arrow at a furry rabbit. However, he gave up when he thought Amelia probably could not bear to see the furry animal getting killed.

At this moment, Nora said, "Patrick, a chicken and duck are enough. More than that, and we can only store them in the freezer."

"But, it's not fresh anymore if we put it in the freezer. We should come out and hunt every day instead," Amelia added.

"Okay." Patrick agreed with Amelia's suggestion. If he knew that his wife was here only to see him shooting a duck with a bow every day, perhaps he would be speechless.

"Since we already have meat, let's harvest some vegetables?" Nora suggested.

Amelia quickly answered, "Okay, how about chicken spaghetti with mushroom sauce and radish with duck for lunch?"

Patrick nodded. "Sounds good."

"Okay, that's great!" Amelia and Nora exclaimed at once.

After that, Patrick squatted down and squeezed the udders for a long time, but the milk bucket was empty. Instead, the cow became impatient, swaying its tail back and forth and almost hit his face!

Nora whispered to Amelia, "I don't think he knows how to milk a cow."

Amelia muttered, "Then why did he say that he was going to demonstrate?"

Nora pointed out, "You fool. He's trying to prove himself in front of you." "What should we do now? Should we save him from this misery?"

As soon as Amelia's voice fell, a series of dripping sounds sounded from the bucket. Amelia and Nora looked back and saw that Patrick had milked the cow successfully.

Nora expressed in a low voice, "Ah! Patrick is self-taught!"

Amelia also could not help but announce proudly, "Mr. Hopper is so smart."

Nora cast her a mischievous glance. "Amelia, when did you become so direct?"

Amelia let out a slightly awkward chuckle. "We should praise men when they deserve it."

"You're right." Nora nodded in agreement.

"Nora, Amy, are you two here to milk the cow or to chat?" Patrick suddenly turned and called out helplessly, "If you don't get involved now, the milk bucket is going to be full soon."

"It's a rare opportunity, so it's fine if we get a little dirty. Come on!" After Nora finished, she gently pushed Amelia to Patrick's side while she walked to the other side of the cow.

"What am I supposed to do?" Imitating Patrick, Amelia squatted down, stretched out her hands, then looked at him.
