Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1553

Amelia said with a knowing expression, "Then, I hope you won't regret what you just said in 10, 30, or 50 years."

"I will never!" Patrick expressed. Then he asked ecstatically, "So, Amy, that's to say you're agreeing?"

Amelia blocked his handsome face from her view. "You're so noisy. I can't count the stars if you don't stop talking."

"Amy!" Patrick grabbed her hand and excitedly kissed her repeatedly. After that, he could not calm the fire in his heart and gradually moved onto her face, lips, and neck.

Seeing his intensifying action, Amelia hurriedly reached out to stop him. "Stop! I'm don't want to do it publicly!"

Patrick raised his head from her neck and said with a brisk smile, "Your skin is too delicate for me to do it with you in such a rough place."

Amelia rolled her eyes at him. "Nicely put, it's because you're a clean freak."

Patrick chuckled. "Since you don't believe that it's because I want to protect you, then I can only prove myself by doing it with you here."

"No!" Amelia flinched and looked at him pathetically. "I was wrong! Please spare me!"

"No! You'd better obey!" Patrick growled like a starving wolf.

Amelia quickly twisted her face away from him and said, "Look at how bright the moon is and how breezy the night is. How can you do such a thing in such beautiful scenery?"

Patrick answered, "To me, this is the most suitable kind of weather for it."

"You...!" Amelia gritted her teeth and continued, "You're not romantic at all!"

"Amy, in my eyes, no scenery is as beautiful as you. So, why don't I focus on you instead?" Patrick stressed the word 'you', causing Amelia to fall into a reverie.

"But I don't want you to keep pressing onto me. I want to count the stars. Do you hear me?"

Patrick snorted and reached out to play with her hair. He gently rubbed it as he said, "What's so special about the stars? I'd rather count your hair."

"You're... seriously..." Amelia could not think of an appropriate word to describe him.

"Crazy? Hopeless?" Patrick interrupted.

"That's right!" "Ha." Patrick rubbed her face with his nose and said affectionately, "It's all your fault."

Amelia's heart skipped a beat. She then suddenly said, "Mr. Hopper, thank you for tolerating my petty temper."

"Then should I thank you for tolerating my bad temper too?" Patrick asked with a smile.

Amelia shook her head and said, "You rarely throw tantrums with me now. In fact, I'm spoiled by your pamper."

Patrick patted her head and said, "But I like it."

"What if I become too spoiled?" Amelia looked at him with slight nervousness, wondering if he would dislike her.

"Well..." Patrick averted his gaze, "I'm sure I'll be very happy."

"What's there to be happy about?" Amelia could not help shivering after thinking about what would happen if she became like Eve.

"Because if I've spoiled you, no one else can stand your bad temper. Then, you can only stay with me for the rest of your life."

Amelia gawked at him, dumbfounded. "I didn't expect you to be so cunning."

Patrick pointed at his head. "It's called wisdom."

Amelia mumbled, "Why don't I think the same way?"

Patrick laughed. "That's because you don't have a good taste."

Amelia's eyes gleamed wickedly as she cried out, "You!"

But this time, Patrick replied, "I love you, Amy."

Amelia's anger immediately faded, and her face turned red. She answered softly, "...Well, the feeling is mutual."

It was late at night.

Patrick gently lifted the sleeping woman in his arms and carefully moved her aside. Then, he got up and picked Amelia up.

Along with his movement, the blazer on Amelia gently slipped onto the haystack. Patrick did not care to pick it up, carried Amelia in his arms and turned to leave.

Early in the next morning.

Akira, who had gone out to feed the horses, accidentally found a blazer on the haystack. It did not seem like a jacket his father could afford, so he sent it to Patrick.

At this moment, Patrick and his family were having breakfast at the dining table. After hearing that Akira had found a jacket, Andrew was the first to ask, "Why was Uncle Patrick's jacket outside?"

Ashley replied while applying fresh jam to bread, "After dinner yesterday, Uncle Patrick took Aunt Amelia out for a walk. When they came back, his jacket was gone. Could it be...ouch!"

Before Ashley could finish speaking, Nora knocked on her forehead with a spoon. "Can you please hold your tongue?"

Ashley covered her forehead that had been knocked on several times over the past few days and pouted at Nora. "Mummy..."

Patrick looked up at Amelia with a hint of despondence in his words, "Amy, why are you saying that too?"

Amelia came over and said, "Once this matter gets to Owen, you won't be able to keep it a secret."

"That's right," Nora agreed.

Patrick cast Nora a sombre glance and said, "Nora, you don't seem to feel any guilt at all."

Nora shrugged. "You should blame your brother instead. He was the one who told me that if he ever finds out that I'm hiding anything from him, he'll make things difficult for me."

Unexpectedly, Nora could be so shameless. Patrick and Amelia shot a look at each other and saw a trace of helplessness in each other's eyes.

"All right. I'll tell you, but don't get too angry after listening," Patrick reminded.

"Don't worry. I can handle it," Nora declared with confidence.

"The part about the car accident was the truth. However, it was the driver, Connor, who crashed into me that day."

Connor, the driver? Why did the name sound so familiar?

Nora asked, "Which driver? Connor?"

Patrick replied, "The driver from our family."

Nora scowled and said, "Wait. I'm getting

confused."

Patrick explained, "To stop me from taking the stand in court for Amy, Mom ordered Connor to drive the car and crash into us."

Patrick did not tell Nora that Eve was the one who grabbed Connor's steering wheel, which counted as his last mercy to Eve.

Amelia added, "In fact, Connor wanted to crash into me. But, Mr. Hopper suddenly jumped to protect me."

Nora gaped at them in disbelief. "In other words, it was...Mom...who did this to you? She almost hurt

Amelia and even your... child?"

Patrick responded in a dejected voice, "And that was why I didn't want to tell you. After all... she's our mother."

"That's too much!" Nora clenched her fists in anger. "The both of you are her family!"
