The doctor was frightened and quickly pulled Amelia backwards as he saw the red palm marks on Sawyer's left cheek, and finally separated her from Sawyer.
After getting out of danger, Sawyer lightly used his fingertip to touch his wounded cheek, then stared at the doctor coldly. "Who allowed you to touch her?"
The doctor looked confused. He was clearly saving him!
His cold eyes then fell onto the doctor's hands that were still gripping Amelia's arm. Sawyer's face was expressionless as he said, "Aren't you going to let her go?"
The doctor shivered and hurriedly let go of her.
Only then did Sawyer turn to look at Amelia.
He suddenly spoke harshly as he saw that she was staring at him with anger. "Do you think you could have killed me with such a weak strength?"
Amelia replied sarcastically, "Go have a look at yourself in the mirror. Ugly!"
Sawyer's face darkened, and felt a burning pain on his cheek. He threw an extremely sinister look at the doctor, making the doctor's legs tremble. But he still sensibly came over to treat his wounds.
During the period, Amelia just shamelessly looked at it like a show at the side. Since she had become his half- sister anyway, he had probably not thought about how to deal with her yet.
However, when she thought of Uncle Quartley whom she respected had actually cheated when he was young, she felt it was a blow to her mind.
After all, the usual affection between him and Ruth did not seem like an act at all.
Maybe Ruth was still kept in the dark?
Thinking of this, Amelia could not help but feel even more angry at Sawyer. It was all his fault for being a busybody investigating her background without permission, putting her in such an awkward situation!
After a while, the doctor stopped applying ointment and whispered to Sawyer, "I'm done, Sir. Be careful not to have the wound run into water."
"Okay," responded Sawyer to the doctor lightly.
As the doctor had applied a translucent cream similar to aloe vera paste on Sawyer, it only seemed to be a thin layer, so it did not affect his appearance.
Which it made Amelia feel very pity, thinking that it would be better if the doctor could have applied some red ointment on him instead.
At the moment, Sawyer's fierce gaze turned towards her and he said, "Alright, let's talk about our matters now."
Amelia sat up straight in nervousness subconsciously. "What would you want to say?"
"You are my younger sister."
Savannah had clearly said that Amelia was his elder sister, yet Sawyer did not feel any pressure to change her into his little sister. "You should return to your true family."
Upon hearing this, Amelia showed an expression as if she saw a ghost.
Had he actually accepted her being his new sister so easily? That he even said that she should return to her original family?! Could such a good thing be true?
Sawyer could not help but explain, "I don't mind about having another sibling, because I don't have the pressure of fighting over family property or paternal love. In fact, my parents need a child who can be filial to them closely, and I've found one for them now."
Amelia was unhappy with his words. She felt herself like a tool in the hands of Sawyer, helping him at whichever place he needed. Such as when he needed to threaten Patrick, or when he wanted to get rid of the responsibility as a child...
Sawyer continued slowly as he saw her frown, "In other words, if you insist on being Patrick's wife and the mother of his child, then you and your child have no choice but to die. On the contrary, if you become my sister, then your child would be my nephew. I will ensure your safety to live a peaceful life."
Amelia was stimulated by the murderous intent in his words and finally responded, "That's really unfriendly of you. I have just known about my identity. Don't you think you should comfort me rather than negotiating conditions? My dear brother?"
Her words that seemed to be berating him for his indifference made Sawyer light up instead. He did not hate it when women showed their weakness in the right time, especially a stubborn woman like Amelia. He had actually thought that she would only submit to him if he had broken her bones.
"Sure, if you need it, you're always welcomed to my embrace." Sawyer said as he opened his arms.
As he moved, the muscles on his chest naturally bulged, and its toughness and firmness could be seen through the cloth.
"But the premise is that you can't scratch me anymore." He added jokingly.
Facing such a manly scene, Amelia kept still as she said, "There is no need for physical comfort. Can I ask you about something?"
"Sure, we're a family. I'll tell you everything I know." Sawyer was constantly trying to rope her in.
Amelia's lips curled up, but she remained unmoved. "How did I end up being abandoned in Kindness Orphanage?"
"It's a long story, but you can rest assured that it's not dad’s idea."
Sawyer had 'kindly' clarified on Ryan's behalf in order to prevent Amelia from hating Ryan for it, which would be disadvantageous to his plans.
On the Land of Fragrance.
Milton and Jessica were sitting on the sofa in the living room. One was full of bitterness while the other was already wiping her tears.
Meanwhile, the calmest person was Patrick instead.
He glanced at them and asked, "Are you here to comfort me or to show me your cry?"
Jessica stopped crying as she heard that.
While Milton, who was full of bitterness, simply thumped the tea table and said irritably, "Patrick, there hasn't been news from Amelia for more than a month. Aren't you anxious?"
"Of course I am."
"Then what are you doing right now?" Milton pointed to the half- tore wall paper and glue on the wall and roared, "How could you still be in the mood to decorate the house?!" "Milton, you can't blame him for this." Jessica put down her hand after wiping tears and pulled Milton's clothes. She said softly, "Don't you see the police inside and outside the villa?"
"They're special forces." Patrick corrected in a low voice.
After being reminded by Jessica, Milton calmed himself down, but he still appeared to be in a bad mood. "What are they doing here? To protect you?"
"It's protection nominally, but monitoring actually." said Patrick.
Since he returned from the hospital, the four policemen outside the ward had been replaced by Gramps Hopper into four teams of special forces, separately guarding inside and outside his villa.
The special forces were all experienced and skilful. So everyone who entered and exited the villa must cooperatively hand over their communication devices and to go through a full body search.
While to prevent him from exchanging himself for Amy with Sawyer, Gramps Hopper had also confiscated all the telephones and computers in the villa before Patrick returned from the hospital. As for his phone, it was still in Owen's hands, so it was impossible for him do anything even if he had the intention.
"Why would they monitor you?" Milton asked in confusion, "Rather than wasting the forces here, it's better to send them to search for Amelia!"
"Do you think we haven't? Everyone is working hard."
"You..."
"Milton, stop talking too much. In such a big world, searching for Amelia is like looking for a needle in a haystack. No matter how powerful The Hopper Family is, it will still take time!" Jessica once again stopped Milton from reprimanding Sawyer. "He's actually the most painful person."
