"All right, stop fighting." Before the situation was about to get out of control, Sawyer interrupted in time and said to Sissi, "Sissi, it's time to leave."
Amelia then hypocritically asked them to stay, "Why don't you stay for a while. You haven't enjoyed the desserts yet."
"No need, you can have them all. Didn't you say that you love it?" Sawyer said in a warm tone.
Amelia nodded and answered, "Well, since you both don't want it, I'll take it. I shall avoid the waste."
Sawyer responded with a "yes" and then looked at Sissi, "Let's go."
Sissi could not help but look in the direction of Amelia, with fear and scheme in her eyes.
No, she must find a way to get Amelia out of their lives!
"Sissi?" As Sawyer saw that Sissi was staring at Amelia in a daze, he could not help but lightly shoulder her.
Sissi blinked and said to Sawyer with an odd expression, "Mm, let's go."
Amelia stood up from the sofa when she saw that they were really going to leave.
However, she knew that Sawyer would not allow her to walk them to the main door. So she only stood there and waved at them.
"Ms. Roberts, if you have time, come here more often with Sawyer. In addition to the library and cinema, there are still many interesting activities here which I can take you to experience one by one."
Sissi showed a stiff smile as her answer.
"We're leaving, you don't have to send us off." Sawyer said to Amelia at the moment.
"Okay, be careful on the way." Amelia smiled and said, "Sawyer, don't forget to bring me a pot of lavender tomorrow."
Sawyer replied, "Got it."
As for Sissi, she could not even force a fake smile at the moment.
After leaving the villa, Sissi did not feel like talking to Sawyer at all. She was extremely unsatisfied with what she had seen and heard that day. She wanted to vent, but she knew that it would then be regarded as unreasonable by Sawyer.
After all, he and Amelia were brother and sister. So what if he gave her flowers and desserts? Right! She had no reason to criticize him at all!
It was not that Sawyer had not noticed Sissi's depression. In fact, he was not in the mood to console her, because her performance had also disappointed him. She was completely led around by Amelia, and she had even rebuked Amelia several times.
Before they came, he had stressed that her words to Amelia could only represent her own opinion, but not his. Yet she had insisted to make him declare his position, clearly troubling him.
Sawyer's black eyes were then suffused with a faint trace of anger. Sawyer had truly gotten a little annoyed at Sissi. Being jealous might sometimes be helpful to the relationship, but if it was to a uncontrollable extent, no one would be able to accept it.
The two returned all the way to their residence in silence.
Their problematic relationship had not been restored after meeting Amelia. Instead, Amelia had further ruined it and added fuel to fire.
The next day.
When Sawyer went to see Amelia after buying lavenders, he saw the little fox's face full of smiles. She would praise the flowers he had bought being beautiful, and then praise his appearance being extra cool that day. He could immediately tell that something was amiss.
Sure enough, she asked with a guilty conscience the next second, "I accidentally spilled the beans in front of Sissi yesterday, saying that you had a night watch here. Uhmm... is everything fine?"
Sawyer replied, "Why, did you feel guilty?" So she had tried her best to suck up to him?
Amelia nodded her head slightly. "A little bit. But I've tried to save it in time. I soon added that you drove to sleep in the hotel after the movie. You didn't have a fight after you went back, did you?"
Sawyer was silent for a moment. Not even wanting to quarrel anymore was more terrible than quarrelling. In fact, he and Sissi were in such a state at the time being.
"We didn't quarrel."
Amelia replied with an "oh" and muttered in her heart. How could they have not quarrelled?
She had tried her very best to show off in front of Sissi the previous day. So Sissi would definitely be eager to ask Sawyer about it after leaving the place, instead of pretending that nothing had happened.
"Alright, let's not talk about her." Sawyer's voice interrupted Amelia's thinking. "Didn't you say to decorate your room with lavenders? Shall you
need my suggestion?"
Amelia's eyes lit up. "Sure, let's go now!"
After they entered Amelia's room together, she was moving around with the lavenders in her hand. And she would ask him from time to time, "What do you think about putting the flowers here?"
If he said no, she would look for a new spot until they were both satisfied.
Sawyer slightly purse his thin lips, and Amelia knew that she was in trouble and said sorry. Then she squatted down, trying to save it. However, she accidentally touched the base of the pot which had become sharp after the smash, and it instantly made a cut on her fingertip!
She hissed not too loudly, but it happened to be the volume that could be heard by Sawyer.
He frowned. As she had squatted on the ground with her back to him, he could only go to her front and look down at her. He saw her holding her bleeding right index finger while biting her lower lip, enduring the pain.
Sawyer immediately went to the bathroom and took two pieces of tissue. After he returned, he pressed the tissue on her wound while saying, "Leave it to me".
Amelia took the opportunity to repeat, "I'm really sorry. I didn't mean it."
As she spoke, she was about to take the tissue from him to handle it herself.
But Sawyer had no intention of loosening his hand. He continued to hold onto her wound, "It isn't a precious thing either, why have you acted so?"
Amelia resisted the urge to get rid of his hand and stuck to her guilty tone, "Even if it is not expensive, I should apologize to you for my carelessness."
"It's fine." Sawyer could not say a single word upon her pitiful appearance. After pressing her bloody index finger for a moment, he finally removed the tissue gently.
Although it had stopped bleeding, Sawyer still said, "Stay still and don't touch anything. I'll go get some band-aid for you."
It was all thanks to the doctor who had come to apply ointment on Sawyer's face the last time, as he had also brought over some commonly used medicine in case of any future accidents.
Not long after, Sawyer returned. He tore open the package and wrapped the band- aid around Amelia's finger, "Watch out for water."
Amelia nodded and said obediently, "I got it, thank you."
Sawyer took a deep look at her. "Don't mention it. Get up, it's cold on the ground."
But Amelia turned to look at the plant by her feet and said, "Can I find a smaller vase to put it up? As it's quite a pity to just throw it away..."
Sawyer was a bit amused but also moved. For him, it was just a pot of lavender worth ten dollars. It was no big deal since it had been broken.
But for her, she was still thinking about it even when her hand had been cut. Could it be that the lavenders were given by him, so she cherished them so much?
The next second, Sawyer was once again amused by his thoughts. How could he have such an unrealistic idea? After all, he was the main culprit behind the plan to separate her and her lover...
