Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1745

Eve looked at the printed words "divorce agreement" on the other side of the glass window, feeling heartbroken.

She subconsciously scratched up the glass window with her nails, as if she wanted to tear up the divorce agreement.

But she didn't manage to catch anything except the ear-piercing "zipping" sound.

"Howard! You can't do this to me!" Eve shouted loudly. "I am your wife, the mother of your three children. You can't do this to me!"

Howard said indifferently, "Eve, I have nothing to say to you now. You'd better sign it. I won't treat you shabbily for the sake of the three kids."

Originally, Patrick and Amelia's wedding was a turnaround. As long as Eve sincerely regretted and wished them a happy marriage, Howard did not mind continuing to live with her. However, Eve's performance was really disappointing, and her tactics were so vicious that it was outrageous.

As Eve saw that Howard had no room for maneuver, she could not help but look sideways at Owen and Florence.

They were her children. She knew them well. She didn't believe that they would watch their father divorce her!

"Owen, can you help me to persuade your dad? You don't want this family to break down, do you?"

Looking at Eve's expectant gaze, Owen frowned and finally shook his head at her in silence.

Eve was very happy at first when Owen shook his head. She thought Owen meant that he didn't want to see the family breakdown.

Unexpectedly, after Owen shook his head, he pressed his lips together without saying a word, as if he didn't want to speak up for her at all.

In response, Eve stared at him in disbelief for a long time, and her tears slid down her face silently.

But Owen was as hard as a rock, as immovable as a mountain. Neither did he avoid her gaze, nor did he respond to her request.

Eve was so heartbroken that she finally couldn't help looking at Florence.

Eve felt relief secretly as she saw Florence don't want to look at her, because this was usually the sign of Florence when she was angry with her. As long as Florence still had little feelings for her, there would be room for turning back.

Eve, who had made up her mind, deliberately made her tears streaming down her face, then she pitifully called, "Florence! Florence... turn around and let me take a look at you?"

Florence, whose name had been called, froze. She had wanted to see Eve, but for some reason, she lost the courage to meet her the moment Eve showed up. She even had an impulse to run away!

"Florence?" Eve noticed Florence's unnaturalness and couldn't help calling her name repeatedly.

Finally, Florence couldn't stand it anymore and turned to look at Eve.

When she saw Eve's haggard face, Florence's heart skipped a beat and her face took on a ghastly expression.

"Florence," Eve reached out her hand and stroked her little daughter's face through the glass window. "You are my sweet- hearted cotton jacket. Since childhood, I love you the most. I will comply with whatever you want. Now I am in trouble. Can you help me in return? As long as you persuade your Dad not to divorce me, I am willing to do anything you need!"

"Eve, you've seen the children's attitudes. Now, can you take a good look at the divorce agreement?"

In the face of Howard's reminder, Eve continued to cry as if she hadn't heard him.

In response, Howard said to the lawyer without haste, "Lawyer Yoder, could you please read out the divorce agreement for her?"

After saying yes, Lawyer Yoder took the divorce agreement and the microphone from Howard and read it aloud.

Eve knew that it was pointless to continue playing the fool when she saw that Howard was not distracted by her actions. She couldn't help but raise her pair of glaring red eyes and glare at Howard. "Howard! If you insist on divorcing me, then you won't be able to see Amelia ever again!!!"

When Amelia was just kidnapped, Owen interrogated Eve. But she didn't reveal a word more than "I don't know".

Now, she was holding Amelia's whereabouts as a threat, as if she knew everything, which only made Howard and Owen realize that she was stupid.

Simply because now Eve now jumped out and talked about it. It meant that she admitted that she didn't report it at that time. Then it will be added to the existing crime!

On the contrary, if she insisted that she did not know where Amelia was, then there is a possibility of a lighter sentence.

Howard's silence was mistaken by Eve that he was shaken. She said more and more affectionately, "Howard, I can tell you where Amelia is, as long as you promise not to divorce me!"

Howard asked in an unconcerned manner, "Eve, why are you so obsessed with the position of Master Mother of The Hopper Family? From the top to the bottom, no one has been convinced by you. Wouldn't it be better to let go?"
