Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1753

Milton was not aware that Maryanne's phone number had been changed by Hobart. Now that he thought that Maryanne was still misunderstanding him and was angry with him, he could not help but feel a little frustrated.

But in the next second, those encouragements from Amelia popped up again. As she said, if one explanation could not work, then there would be two, three... or more, until Maryanne believed it.

Now, she just changed her phone number. He could go to her house to find her!

After making up his mind, Milton came to the Home of Smith with flowers in his hands and dressed neatly the next day. But this time, he did not intend to force his way in but was ready for the devious.

As for what devious, it had to begin from two hours ago.

As Hobart's parents still did not know what happened between him and Maryanne, and thought that they were simply quarrelling with each other, he thought of an idea, which was to call Tony, who was more talkative and ask him to give him a chance to enter the Home of Smith to reconcile with Maryanne.

There was no other way. Previously, he was not willing to take the risk of this move because he was worried that Hobart and Maryanne would expose him at any time. But now, he could not care about it so much. This was the only way for him to enter the Home of Smith. He had to try!

Tony agreed to his request without much thinking because he could tell that Maryanne had always been moody ever since she returned home. As a parent, who would not want their child to be happy?

When Tony heard that Milton was willing to make a concession, he was very pleased and repeatedly said on the phone that Maryanne had been spoiled by them since she was a child, so she was somewhat capricious and hoped that he could bear more.

Milton said in a hoarse voice, "Uncle, don't say that. It's all my fault!"

"Mr. Cook, based on what I know about you, your moral character, talent, and family background are all superior. To be honest, it's a great honor for my daughter to be with you."

Milton subconsciously refuted as he heard this, "No, no, no. Maryanne is really good and excellent! Uncle, you may not know that when Maryanne was abroad, she especially played the violin for me. To be honest, for me, her performance was like the sound of nature, which was unforgettable!"

"She... she actually played the violin for you?" asked Tony in surprise.

Milton said with reminiscence, "Yes."

"She used to say that learning violin is boring and useless. When she grew up, she gave up.

I didn't expect..." Tony didn't go on, because he didn't know what to say.

For the sake of Milton, she could even retrieve what she did not like. What else could it be if it was not true love?

"Maryanne is a good girl. There's nothing wrong with her. It's me who doesn't know how to cherish her and make her... like this." Milton was ashamed and remorseful as if he were confessing to his father-in-law.

Tony didn't understand what he meant. He kindly comforted, "All right, it's just a quarrel. It's not a big deal. Since I got married to her mother, I've quarreled with her countless times. We still get to reconcile afterward.”

Milton felt ashamed. It would be fine if they were just having a quarrel, but...

Stop, he can't blame himself anymore! Business before pleasure!

"Uncle, after my conflict with Maryanne, Hobart refused to let me see her. Every time I rang the doorbell, he would come out to drive me away, so can I ask for a favor?"

"Really?” Tony was shocked, thinking that Hobart was delaying his sister's happiness.

Milton hurriedly said, "Uncle, you can't blame him. After all, he loves his sister very much. I can understand him."

He did not call to provoke Tony. If Tony was angry, Hobart would be scolded and he would end up in trouble.

"Well, well, well, you're so kind. Maryanne is right to find you as her boyfriend." Tony was so happy that he did not forget to ask, "By the way, you said you need to ask me for a favor. What's the matter?"

"Uncle, I hope you can help me send Hobart away today. I sincerely hope that Maryanne can forgive me!"

"Fine." Tony only thought that Hobart was throwing a tantrum and did not probe too deeply into the matter. "Anyways, go back to Mill today and have a check on the situation. As for Maryanne, your mother and I are watching over her. You should be at ease, right?"

After a moment of hesitation, Hobart said, "Dad, you have to promise me two things."

Tony frowned as he thought to himself, "Why is everyone asking me for help today?"

"Say it."

"One, Don't let Maryanne go out. Second, Milton is not allowed to enter."

Hobart glared at him with dissatisfaction. "What do you take your sister for? A Pet or a prisoner? Not even letting her go out?"

"Dad, that's not what I mean. Maryanne can go out, but she must be under my care. Would you like me to take her to Mills?"

Tony stunned for a moment and shouted, "Nonsense! I asked you to go to Mills for a disciplinary inspection. Maryanne will distract you!"

"Alright." Hobart curled his lips. It looked like he had given up on this idea.

After a sigh of relief, Tony said, "But I promise you that I won't let Maryanne go out. Don't worry."

Hobart nodded and emphasized, "Dad, the second one I've mentioned is more important than the first one!"

Tony asked helplessly, "Do you hate Milton that much?"

"It's more than hate!" Hobart replied without thinking.
