Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1869

Could this be Patrick's new plot?

Although Maryanne did not say anything, her suspicious expression exposed everything.

Seeing this, Amelia explained, "Mr. Hopper hated Milton because he used to like me, but now he likes you. He's no longer a threat to Mr. Hopper. Why does he still need to hate Milton?"

"As for you, although Mr. Hopper has always hated you, he has already avenged for me. Naturally, there is no need to keep the hatred. I'm not sure if you can understand what I mean."

Maryanne looked into her calm eyes. After a moment, she suddenly said in a low voice, "I seem to understand why Milton likes you so much."

She would never be able to keep up with a person like Amelia no matter what.

If today's situation was the opposite, she would mercilessly step on Amelia and let her suffer more.

Hearing that, Amelia said, "Milton likes you now. I hope you don't always say such things. He will be sad if he hears you.”

Maryanne asked faintly, "Milton broke one of his arms and legs because of me, don't you blame me?"

"Milton doesn't blame you. Why should I blame you?" Amelia asked.

"Aren't you Milton's best friend? Wouldn't you feel bad for him? Grief? Fury?"

Maryanne could not understand why she could always remain calm and elegant, making the people around her insignificant in comparison.

Amelia answered, "I've experienced what you said. That's why I asked Mr. Hopper to think of a way to help you. As long as you lead a good life outside, Milton will feel better."

"You..." Maryanne stared at her dazedly for a long while before saying in defeat, "Alright, I admit defeat."

In terms of interpersonal relationship, she was not as mature as Amelia.

As expected, only a woman like Amelia could become a goddess that men would scramble for but failed to get.

As for someone like her, she could only attract men's attention by pestering them to death...

Amelia asked in confusion, "You admit defeat? What do you mean?"

Maryanne didn't want to tell her the truth in case she became arrogant. "Nothing, I was just joking!"

As she said this, she started to make things difficult for Amelia again. "You and Patrick are so capable. Why don't you persuade my brother and others to accept Milton..."

"Maryanne," Amelia reminded her lightly. "This is your family affair. There's no reason for others to share it with you."

Maryanne was at a loss for words. She found herself always like this in front of Amelia. She was always making a fool of herself.

Glancing at the satisfaction in Sierra's eyes when she looked at Amelia, Maryanne pouted and suddenly wanted to cry.

Amelia was too lazy to take care of her emotions. "Well, what else do you want to ask?"

Maryanne opened her mouth, only to find that there was no difference between asking or not.

Because what she got was always the answer of Amelia who cared about the overall situation. This would only make her despise herself more and more, who only knew how to eat, drink and play.

So, she shook her head. "No."

"Hmm," Amelia said. She picked up the cup on the table and took a sip.

As Amelia's movements were a little slow, Maryanne couldn't help but measure her waist with her eyes, and then she was relieved to find that her waist was at least thinner than Amelia's, wasn't it?

"And it is said that when a woman is pregnant, there would be dark spots on her face. Amelia must be..."

Huh? No? There was actually nothing at all!

Not only that, Amelia was even more beautiful than before!

Her chin, which had been sharp earlier, had become a little rounder now. She looked even more blessed and magnanimous as the matriarch of the household.

Looking at the other party's limbs, she didn't seem to grow much fatter. Only her waist grew horizontally, but it was because she was pregnant...

That was to say, other than her waist, she didn't seem to be better looking than Amelia. This realization made Maryanne want to cry even more.

Amelia did not know what Maryanne was thinking at all. She only felt that the way Maryanne looked at her was a little strange.

Sierra could tell that Maryanne was trying to compare herself to Amelia.

However, it was not that she didn't think well of Maryanne, but Maryanne was comparing herself to Amelia, wasn't she just asking to be humiliated?

From temperament to character, Amelia was way better than her!

Maryanne returned to Milton's bedroom with frustration.

Seeing her disappointed face, Milton's handsome eyes suddenly turned cold.

The next second, he grabbed her arm with his intact hand and pulled her to his side. He asked softly, "Maryanne, what's wrong with you?"

When Maryanne saw him, she couldn't help but lie in his embrace as if she had seen someone she could rely on. She asked unhappily, "Dear, the gap between me and Amelia is enormous, right?"

"What?" Milton's hand on her shoulder suddenly tightened, "Did my mother say anything to you?"

"No," Maryanne denied.

"Then... is it Amelia?" That couldn't be, right?

Why did Amelia have to upset Maryanne? She wasn't this type of person.

"Alright then! I'll go out right now!" Even though Maryanne had always been so open-minded, she would be shy when it really happened.

The moment Maryanne was about to rush out of the door, she suddenly remembered something and stopped in her tracks. She turned her head and said to the man on the bed with a wry smile, "By the way, I won't be going back tonight. I am staying at your house. I'll go back tomorrow morning."

When he heard this, Milton felt both pain and happiness. Maryanne was able to stay behind, so he was obviously happy. However, he was scared that he would explode again and scare her.

In the evening.

Amelia's mobile suddenly vibrated in her bag. She took it out and found it was a text message from Patrick saying that he was already at Home of Cook.

Seeing this, Amelia immediately said goodbye to Sierra and asked her to inform Milton.

Knowing that she was avoiding Maryanne, Sierra nodded and sent her to the gate, warning her and Patrick to go home safely.

"I will take good care of Amy." Patrick replied. He held Amelia's shoulders with one hand and held her heavy waist with the other, walking slowly to his car.

Seeing Amelia sitting in the passenger seat with some difficulty, Patrick could not help but say distressedly, "Amy, slow down."

When she sat down, Patrick fastened her seatbelt and saw a deep cleavage on her chest, which was much " weightier" than before.

Just as he was looking at it, Amelia's somewhat cold voice suddenly rang out, "Where are you looking?"

Patrick quickly came to his senses and coughed. "Nothing. I'm just afraid that your seatbelt is too tight."

Amelia did not believe it.

"Don't look at me like that. I won't be able to control myself from kissing you." After gently pinching her face, Patrick closed the car door for her. He turned around the front of the car and got into the driver's seat.

A moment later, the engine started, and Patrick's car did not take long to get out of Sierra's sight.

When she entered the house, Maryanne walked over to her. "Aunt Sierra," Maryanne greeted obediently.

"What can I do for you?" Sierra asked in a lukewarm tone.

Maryanne asked nervously, "Aunt Sierra, I want to stay here tonight to accompany Milton. Will you... agree?"

"Are you sure you won't attract those guys from before?" Sierra asked worriedly.

Maryanne replied with certainty, "I'm sure!"

Thus, Sierra nodded. "Alright. You can stay. I'll prepare a room for you."

"No need, Aunt Sierra!" Maryanne blurted out.

"I'll just share a room with Milton!"
